Instructions

Solve puzzles by making as many 4-letter words as you can from a given word or group of words. Brackets () next to each puzzle word contain the number of words I found. You may find more or different words.

The first 10 puzzle words each have 10 or less solution words. The remaining puzzle solutions each contain 1 to 20 or more words, with many solutions having 6 to 11 words.

Hint. Look for multiple word possibilities; a word like POST can change to STOP or POTS or OPTS.

Excluded words: Proper names such as JANE, archaic or obsolete words, and vulgar words are not allowed.

Allowable words: Names like JACK (automobile jack) or Gary (name of a city) because it can mean something other than the name of a person; name of a deity, words like ALIA because it forms part of a legal term INTER ALIA; combining words such as ANTI, plurals, and shortened words like EXEC or TOON.

A word such as ARSE or COON is allowed. ARSE is often used in British or Canadian conversations like BUTT is used by Americans. COON can refer to a raccoon even though the word can be offensive.

Common acronyms are allowed; NATO and FIFO are two examples.

Abbreviated words like TEMP, meaning “temporary worker”, or MECH, meaning mechanical, are allowed, as are informal words like ROOS.

Plural words like TANS, PANS, LAYS, ANIS are allowed.

Dictionary Link. For your convenience, a link to OneLook Dictionary at www.onelook.com is provided at each puzzle and solution section.

If your device or download version permits typing within this ebook then that method may be best for solving puzzles. Happy puzzling, Ted.
