Before we get started many of you may be wondering why I am writing this book. Well it started as a way to explain to those that are new, seasoned rail fans and others why we do what we do. We are a group of people that Love to watch trains go by and on occasion film them. We are NOT a bunch of rowdy party animals that "hang out" at train stations and act like idiots. Heck, we hate to see the consequences of people being stupid around trains and train tracks. We try to discourage it wherever possible. We Rail Fans in general catch much of the videos seen on YouTube of people being stupid around railroad tracks and trains. One in particular comes to mind from YouTube user AmtrakSurfliner768.
