Nature
These poems are inspired by many, many, many things. Animals, weather, plants, pretty much anything natural. Nature gives me inspiration daily.
"A Mother Was Murdered"
A beautiful mother was murdered today
She went and died, she went away
Her children were left to starve in the cold
Their mother was murdered, for being bold
Still so young they couldn't survive without her there
She was killed so cruelly for mans desire
For stepping into the line of fire
She needn't have died, yet still she did
Because, of her they wanted to be rid
No reason to it, other than another's hate
She couldn't flee, even at her fastest gait
She could have run and saved her own life
She didn't run, she stayed there, to try to end her children's strife
She stayed to defend her young ones
The mother stayed, reminded of her sons
So small and weak, they surely would die without her there
The pain of that thought too much to bear.
She fought the hunters, with their guns
She fought them off, to save her sons
She needn't have died, the murders attacked her children too
They couldn't live, they died that way, their lives so new
They knew love, they knew hate
They knew when the man came, it was too late
A wolf howls into the night
Crying for his love and his children, whose eyes hold no more light
"Werewolf"
A man that chooses to fight
A wolf that welcomes the night
So different are Wolf and Man
Yet both try to do the best they can
Why now do they fight?
Both knowing it is not right.
Who is better? Who is not flawed?
Maybe the One, is the one who is pawed?
She does not stray from mate or cubs.
For they are the ones she loves.
Yet when she thinks she cannot win,
That is when the wolf gives in.
The Man fights for his home.
Even if he must fight alone.
The wolf will fight with her pack,
Knowing that they have her back
Without them she will run,
She even hides from the sun.
Man works in the daylight hours.
Wolf has superior powers.
Now I will tell you who has won,
The only answer I see is none.
A balance is there between the two,
Maybe if it's found it can create something new.
Wolf and Man side by side.
If only each would abandon their pride.
If only each would willingly take a fall.
Maybe a Werewolf could be possible after all.
"Song of the Night"
Step outside and listen my friend
Step outside into the night
Hear the song that never ends
Imagine what is there, just out of sight
Hear the crickets chirping in the field
Take a look at the flowers
See what the moon has reveled
Feel the elements around you, feel their powers
Hear the wolf family sing in the night
Do not fear them, for they sing in joy, the joy of having each other
Watch the owl, for even in darkness, she has sight
The creatures sing a song of night composed by the Great Mother
They sing of their freedom
They sing with pride
The night is their kingdom
The night reveals what the day will hide
Night can be peaceful
It can be full of spite
Night can be harmful
It can wound those without the sight
"Hawk's Freedom"
A cry echoes through the air
No one really seems to care
A bird flies free,
I wonder what do you see?
Do you see the clear river run?
Do you ever try to race the golden sun?
Will you fly in any weather?
When you land, do you shake the rain from copper feathers?
Will you chase the burning lightning?
Are you the one who will go down fighting?
Such fire in your golden eyes.
I believe you are envied by even the skies.
You are granted such freedom,
The sky is your kingdom.
You never surrender to someone’s demand.
Granted the title Queen of the Skies,
I believe you are envied by even the skies.
How I wish I could see through your golden eyes.
Never give up the great freedom you’ve won.
Win your race against the golden sun.
Always fly free,
Like I wish to be.
"Wild Freedom"
Elements of the earth untamed,
From them these creatures came.
Like thunder across the earth
Their freedom is a right of birth
They run free across the plain
But with this freedom comes the pain.
To be captured by human hands.
Calmly serving their demands.
Always trying to do their best.
Trying at least to pass the test.
A herd runs through water to wet their manes
They shake their necks and it becomes the rain.
Together they run and together they fall.
They will always listen to Nature’s call.
They all know pain.
Though none are worse then Man’s cruel chain.
With their power so clear,
They became something to fear.
Captured and tamed.
Yet wild they remain.
"Fight of the Wild"
The flames dance inside her soul
The fire in her eyes will burn forevermore
Through prejudice, destruction, and pain
She is wild, and has sacrificed to gain
Her home and her family lost from man
But still she won’t give in to his demand
She will not leave, this is her home
She will stay, even if it means fighting alone
This is not what she wants to fight without end
She wants the humans and the wolves to make amends
She tries her best
But fails the test
As the days first light breaks it shines on her
Reflecting through her fur
To her broken body underneath
She tried but her wish was out of reach
It takes two to start a war
Asking herself why does she fight each day getting sore?
Why does man push them away?
She wishes she could have somewhere safe to stay
In the forest she makes her bed
And lays on the grass as the sun rises warming her head
But she does not feel it anymore
Her body no longer feels sore
Her pain has gone away
She will never again see the next day

See them fall, see the flag rise
See the bodies fall, become what you despise
We fight to stop the killing
What sense does it make? The war is simply chilling.
Falling, falling, it doesn't end
Untreatable wounds, they try to mend
We walk away our flag held high
We fire our guns into the sky
We murder and we destroy
To come home and show a medal, like a shiney new toy
Fire raging all around
Screams of the tormented, a chilling sound
Counting bodies, a torturous task
Count them and put on the mask
Count the bodies in your sleep
Count them, till they become like sheep
Counting the bodies, forget faces and names
Counting bodies, their deaths are a shame
Go back to sleep
Count the bodies like sheep
Sheep sent to the slaughter to die
Is the soldier any different with fear in his eye?
"Buried"
All the things you expect of me
Why can't I make you see?
I try so hard and yet I fail
I try to explain, you think it's all a tale
Going down, falling again
Is this what it feels like to reach the end?
Suffocating, blinding, slowly being broken
Memories buried long ago you have awoken
You built me up you saved my life
You took away all the strife
Then you tore me apart
Ripped right through my heart
You buried me alive
As I fought to survive
You held me down
I began to drown
You screamed for me to die
And yet you still deny
You won't admit that you were wrong
Now I know, with you, I never belonged
"Going Under"
Falling down, falling far
Sparkling gray, I see the star
The flash of light
I feel your spite
I try to reach out to you
Asking "what did I do?"
You held me down and screamed for me to die
But I rose up again, like the angels flying high
Then you broke my wings, tore them apart
Pierced right through my heart
You drug me down
Beat me to the ground
I couldn't breathe, I couldn't see
Why would you do these things to me?
Pain pounding through my body, numbing my mind
You used to be so kind
I trusted you, I loved you
How could I foresee the things you would do?
I see the darkness all around
I scream and no one hears the sound
I pray for someone to save me
Pray to be set free
I look inside myself and that is when I realize
All the pain that I despise
It strengthened me, it lifted me up high
All the while I thought I was drug down, away from the sky
With wings spread wide I break the chains you set upon me
Now I can see
I don't hate you, I never could
But I know that you would
So hate me, despise me, I don't care
Because all my pain, you could never bear
"Haunted"
What went wrong?
Where did it go?
How did we fall so far?
Why won't your love show?
If you don't want me, say those words
I know they'll kill me but I have to know
What am I holding onto now?
A broken promise, a shattered dream
Haunted still by those words you just couldn't say
"I don't love you anymore"
I knew it would hurt
But they'd hurt less than the lie I knew you said
All your promises haunting me
All my dreams reliving pain
All this time I'm still haunted
"Tourniquet"
You're always there
On the fringes of my memory
Your room is bare
Once a friend, now an enemy
Tie it tighter, bind me to the ground,
Stop this bleeding in my heart
Tie the tourniquet tighter still, make me bound
I don't want to fail, I don't want to fall apart
But I can't seem to please you, no matter what I try
I follow your orders, I try to make peace
I keep wishing I could have the wings to fly
I want this deadly pain to cease
Tie it tighter, bind me to the ground
Stop this bleeding in my heart
Tie the tourniquet tighter still, make me bound
I don't want to fail, I don't want to fall apart
A sharp metal bite across my wrist
That’s all it would take to end this pain
The reasons to stay, it's not a long enough list
The reasons to die, there's nothing left to gain
Tie it tighter, bind me to the ground
Stop this bleeding in my heart
Tie the tourniquet tighter still, make me bound
I don't want to fail, I don't want to fall apart
Take the cloth, tie it tight
Take the razor in my hand
Maybe someone will faint at the sight
My blood on the ground, I won't ever again give in to your demand

A painful bite, into my skin
Down my arm I see the blood run
Suicide, an ultimate sin

A face in my mind, a loved one lost
I realize too late that I wanted to stay

"Hero of War"
Learn how to fight
Learn how to kill
Be the hero of war
Then watch as it all stands still
Take them away, from family and friends
Defile them, and justify your cause
Kill the innocent, don't let them get away
Watch when they all pause
Be the hero of war
Take away their life
End the lives, of those with the white flag
Be the true hero of war, end the strife
"Need"
Screaming, bleeding, it all just a lie?
Surely with this much pain I have to die?
Help me, save me, find me
I'm right before your eyes why can't you see?
I need you here in my life
When you're gone, in your place in my heart, is a knife
A knife of white hot pain
Twisting around, making me bleed again
Why did you leave? Where are you?
Have you found someone new?
The cold presses all around
I'm buried into the ground
You don't see me
Memories won't let me free
Someone save me, from this nothing I've become
Save me, put together what's come undone
A heart of glass, now heart of stone
Forever sealed, with love unknown
Loved And Lost
These take inspiration in people that I have loved, and people that I have lost. Some loved as family, some loved as friends, and others as lovers. Most are about my current love, others about past loves.
"Stay With Me"
Rain falling down
Whispering the sound
Of my love for you
Treasure it now, these moments are too few
Look into my eyes
Can't you see the clear skies?
Stay with me, be with me, please don't go
Why can't I seem to make you know?
Why can't I seem to really say "I love you"?
Why can't you see that my words are true?
Don't leave me now, please just stay
Stay in my arms, see the sunrise, see the next day.
"Surrender"
A single breath, a single tear
I hate to see the fear
The fear in your eyes
I want to be the one, to clear your stormy skies
I see you with him, I hear you laugh at his joke
I can't feel my own heart anymore, it is broke
I want to make you love me
I want to make you see
That I love you, would die for you
I just have to find, someone new
"This Is The Last Poem I'm Wasting On You"
Slit my throat, it's all the same
It's all part of your twisted game
You cut me, you hit me, you beat me down
Within your senseless hatred I did drown
I tried so hard for you
But in the end, I knew
I didn't deserve the pain you gave
I don't now how I was such a naive
You held me down, and screamed for me to die
I looked into your clear blue eyes, and still saw the sky
A sky that threatened the storm to come
A storm that would rage, and your hatred you would be free from
My life you tried to end,
Yet in the end your will did bend
You let me go, and turned away
From my life you did stray
You left without a word
Yet still your voice I heard
Every time I started to trust
The fragile wall inside me would bust
All my dreams falling shattered to the ground
How does no one hear the sound?
I walk each day, dripping blood down on me
I can't look to you to set me free
I'll find my own way
Don't bother with me, just stay away
"Long Lost Friend"
The earth still turns,
The sun still burns,
How could it all go on without you?
How can each day still bring something new?
You'll never be forgotten, friend
Your soul will live on without end
Each new trial, each new task
I'll face them all, I won't wear the mask
The mask I want, to hide behind so well
Because this earth has become a living hell
I know someday I'll see you still
And I must wait until
That day I will see you once again
And I will greet you as my long lost friend
"Searching"
Sunlight dancing against the frozen snow
Beauty that cannot compare
This beauty that she holds
Cannot be found anywhere
Dive down into the cold
That water that so icy and void
I don't know what could be there
Just beneath the surface, she may love me too
Break through it and I will learn
Shatter the barrier
That fear that keeps me bound
Break the chain and let it go
Dive down... shattering glass
Emerging safe on the other side
No cuts or scars to show
Peace at last
She loves me too
I've finally found what I've been searching for

Raging inside, outside so calm
The calm that comes before the storm
I don't want to ever lose what we have
Friendship, strong and true
I swear I'll never lose that
Always I will give it.
I act so strong before everyone
How can you see it when I lie?
How do you know when I'm not being true?
What is it about you that makes me speak truth?
Why can't I lie to you, like I've done before?
Why do I still deny?
Why do I use the word "friends"?
Isn't it clear that that long ago was at its end?
Friendship died, and something new came alive
This time maybe, I'll let it survive.
"Found Someone"
I think of all the lies you told
I remember now how your eyes were always cold
You acted like you were a friend
I can’t believe you’d rip the mends
That you helped to heal
You never were real
A mask you wear
Your lies are too much to bear
So go on and smile
You’re not the ones who’s fallen a mile
How would you feel if you had been me?
What can I do to make you see?
I’m just like you, or so I thought
Maybe I can’t blame you maybe that’s what you were taught
I don’t care anymore what you think or say
Your opinion doesn’t matter to me anyway
I love someone they love me
But that love you will never see
My heart no longer jumps for you
I have found someone new
They love me for me
Never again will you see
My tears fall for you
You hate me I know you do
They love me for who I am
They care for me like you never can
"Hope"
A new life a new hope
Built up from what remained
Of shattered dreams and hopes
That were scattered all around
Lost in that darkness for so long
Finding my light
Finding my happiness
And finding my hope
My inspiration and my love
A reason to exist
A reason to become stronger
To see the strength that I possessed.
Once hidden, and beaten down
Lost inside myself
Inspiration coming, from a dear friend
A new light guiding me along
Showing me there might be somewhere
That I could belong
Showing me love and showing me hope
Guiding me when I feel unsure
When the path turns dark and dangerous
A hand reaches out to guide me back into light
Guiding back to happiness
Changing, this feeling, that I feel in my soul
Reaching further, reaching into my heart
Push it away, it won't do me any good
It comes back and attacks again
The light grows stronger,
Shining on strength
That I didn't know I possessed
The strength, the love,
Is that what this is?
It's been so long,
Since my heart felt this way
I feel the hope deep in my soul
The love and the happiness that she brings

Doesn't Fit Into The Rest
"The Raven That Drove Poe Insane"
Quothe the raven "nevermore"
I wonder raven, do you ever get sore?
Does it get old to say that line?
Does it get old, being in the rhyme?
Do you know how to say anything else?
Do you enjoy sitting, on Poe's shelf?
Do you enjoy, staying there in his house?
Do you possibly talk, to his pet mouse?
Does he have one? I don't know.
Maybe some night it will show
Scuttling along the wooden floor
It must really be a bore.
Sitting on that bust
Will you sit, until it begins to rust?
Raven, Raven, why do you stay?
Why don't you just fly away?
Do you enjoy what you have done?
Drove him insane, yes you are the one
Your constant answer of "nevermore"
Why did he ask you questions, knowing the answer in store?
Raven, Raven, why do you stay?
Why don't you just fly away?
You tell me he's shut all windows and doors?
So now you are trapped, in his house of horrors?
Poor bird of ebony
Your plight I see
He locked you up in his home
He locked the two of you up, so now his house you roam.
Always answering that one word,
Not another thing from your beak is heard
Poor little raven, I feel your pain
Maybe you can escape, when you destroy Poe's brain
"Questions"
Does the fire know why it burns?
Does the world know why it turns?
The wolf howls to the sky
The eagle prepares to fly
Do they know why they do what they do?
Does the earth truly welcome the morning dew?
Will any ever know?
Why does the rain turn to freezing snow?
At times it seems that nature is cruel
But are not all simply obeying Fate’s rules?
Does the fire know why it burns?
Does the world know why it turns?
"For A Dear Friend"
So tired of this life I'm living
Just have to keep on giving
You gave it all you could
Who would of thought that you would
Be taken from me so soon
Look upon the moon
Hear the wolf sing its song
Join me, sing along
I hear your laughter in the air
A sound that chases away the despair
Always you were so kind
I hear your voice in my mind
You'll be here always by my side
There's no more reason for you to hide
Spread your wings, fly away
Never again be lead astray
"Missing"
Screaming and no one hears
Drowning slowly in all my fears
Run away, away from the pain
End it all there's nothing left to gain
I miss you so much my friend
I just want all the pain to end
I hear your laughter in the air
The pain is almost too much to bear
Darkness surrounds me all around
Feeling my heart begin to pound
It's proof that I'm alive
Into the darkness I will dive

Why did you leave? Why couldn't you stay?

Do you hate me for breathing without you?
For living each day, everything new?
I want you here, yet you're so far away

"Fly"
Seconds tick by
Every moment something lets out a cry
A cry of pain, of passion, of love
Take flight on the wings of a dove
Flying free, flying far, flying away from pain
Rushing through, escaping what is there to gain?
Is there anything worth stay here for?
Is something here? Is there something more?
