Introduction

I have to tell you right up front I am not your everyday average American girl. You name it and I have probably done at sometime in my life. I was the first girl in my elementary school to hide out in the woods smooching the best looking guy in school. I had my choice of the football players when I was in high school. I've had many lovers, and husbands, and I have live life to the fullest. No, you don't need to know how many husbands and lovers just suffice it to say I have been around the block quite a few times.

This book isn't about sex if that is what you are thinking and where you imagination has led you, but in a way it is about sex because a beautiful skinny sexy body always helps out when you are in the mood, if you get my drift.

I have been skinny and I have been fat, believe me! Skinny is better! You know the saying "Blonds have more fun?" Well we can now say with all knowledge that, "Skinny definitely has more "fun" and has it many more times than is normal." When you are fat you are usually too tired or too busy eating that big old gallon of Chocolate Chip Ice Cream to have any "fun". "Oh no honey, I have just got to finish this gallon of ice cream before I could even think of having "fun." You hubby is probably out the door before you can finish the sentence and down to the local bar to pick him a "skinny little thing in a skinny black dress."

So what is this book going to be about? Getting Skinny and getting into that skinny black dress. You can do it you know with just a little training in what to eat and when. Let's face it! You might get insulted if I have called you fat. But how many diet books have your bought this year? How many diets have you gone on this year? You know you are fat and you know what is making you fat and you want to be SKINNY! You have had that SKINNY BLACK DRESS hanging your closet way to long now!

Yes, by now you have at least suspected this is going to be a diet book and it is in a way. But more to the point, it is going to be a training session book to teach you through the process of training your mind, body and appetite, to all come together and agree that you want to be SKINNY.

So let's get started and if I don't get disturb and distracted by one of my sweet things wanting to have some "fun", I am going to teach you what I have learned in all my years of wisdom on how to get SKINNY and stay that way. Well I could teach you a few other things but that is another book and believe me it won't get put in the cookbook section! Get ready, let's rock and roll!

Chapter One

Skinny Me Training and Discipline It Ain't Gonna Be Easy Sweet Thing

Training and discipline are two things we were bombarded with when we were children. I was never one to be trained or disciplined as I had my own way of thinking from the time I was two. If my parents said it was red, I would immediately reply with a, "no blue" and they could tell me for hours it was red, but I would still say it was blue. I have been that way all my life and it has gotten me into a lot of trouble believe me! But one day when I was eating that gallon of ice cream and looking in the mirror, it suddenly dawn on me; I needed some training and discipline if I ever wanted to fit into that skinny black dress again. It just so happened I was laying on my couch and watching Alien, as I dearly love those ugly creatures, starring Sigourney Weaver, and she looked so darn good and skinny. I remembered another film with Demi Moore called GI Jane in which she kicks butt, and ends up reaching her goals by vigorous training and discipline. A light bulb went on in my brain and I went out and bought the movie, GI Jane. Wow! Is Demi Moore a delight and SKINNY! As I watched the movie and saw her heavy workouts, I thought, gee, I could do that. I got up off the couch and went out again and bought me some exercise tapes. I'm not telling you I got into this happily and lived happily ever after doing my workouts daily, but it did give me the motivation to start my discipline and training program.

You have got to start somewhere. I urge you to watch the movie, GI Jane, and get inspired as I did to get that beautiful body of yours moving.

You must first recognize that you are fat. Don't say fat is beautiful and I am fine. Fat is a killer. Obesity will kill you and that is a proven fact. So now, you want to lose weight and where are you going to start. Your starting point is going to be very important. It might not be the same as mine. We are all unique and have to find our own way when it comes to losing weight, but I am going to help you out here with some tried and proven weight loss strategies to help you find your weight loss starting point. The following suggestions are completely mine, and you might want to make up a set of your own, but no matter what you decide, you must set your starting point to be successful in weight loss.

Set Your Goals

The first thing you must do is find out how much you should weigh. Since there is no certain answer on how much you should weigh, you are going to have to figure out a number that you think you looked really fantastic and felt good weighing. Remember you want to set a realistic goal that you can reach.

In reaching weight loss goal, you want to be healthy and you want your skin to look radiant and not sagging. So your weight loss goal is going to be centered on a slow and steady weight loss. Plan to lose 2 pounds weekly. If you feel more comfortable with a short weight loss goal then set one that you can reach in one month.

You might want to enlist the help of a dietitian or health expert to guide you on your way.

Keep a weight loss journal so that you can document your weight loss progress and you will find it is so exciting as you reach each weight loss goal monthly.

Calculating The Number Of Calories You Need Daily

Let's look at body fat as a whole. A pound of body fat might contain around 3,500 calories. The old standard still hold true and that is when you consume more calories than you body burns, you gain those ugly pounds. But when you consume less than your body needs, you lose those ugly pounds. Then there is the level that your weight gets into that if you take in just the right amount of food and do the right amount of exercise, your body will stay the same weight. This will be your goal when you reach your goal weight.

So if a pound of body fat is 3.500 calories, then if you eat 3.500 calories less, you will lose 1 pound. Look at a pound of butter, this is how much fat your will lose when you lose one pound.
