INTRODUCTION
TO
“LOSE LITTLE, WIN BIG” Blackjack
New Casinos keep being built and many are being added on to.
The reason of course is they are in the business of gambling and have an advantage, otherwise known as vigorish or the vig or pc as in percentage.
The advantage might be small on many of the games, such as blackjack where the percentage is estimated between 2 and 5 percent depending on the skill of the player. On the other hand it can be quite large as much as 20 percent or more on the slots and some other casino games.
This advantage relates to the mathematical laws of probability and the law of large numbers.
Professional blackjack players and none professional players have long recognized that gambling runs in streaks, winning and losing. I've not found any thing written or referenced to, that any players have figured out a way to take advantage of them or if there even is a way.
That has all changed with the research and the publishing of the “Lose Little, Win Big” Blackjack Book.
This book is primarily written for the Casino travelers, such as Las Vegas or Atlantic City because it works at its best there.
This book will tell you how to keep from losing much during a losing streak.
The less you lose, the more you win.
Even Dr Thorp made the statement that you can't win all the time. His belief, not mine.
On the other hand it will also tell you when you are in a winning streak and how to take advantage.
May you enjoy winning big and losing small and having fun doing it.

“Lose Little, Win Big” Summary
Is Card Counting Necessary?
In the course of this book, you will be introduced to an entirely new winning concept of playing blackjack without counting cards.
I'm sure you are skeptical of the word winning but by the time you finish this book you will be as convinced as I am, when I say that “Lose Little, Win Big” Works.
The title tells it all. Believe me, it is possible to win playing blackjack and you don't have to be a mathematician to do it. However, “Lose Little, Win Big” is mathematically verified for winning.
In addition you don't need to have a fortune to be able to enjoy a trip to a casino and play blackjack.
In the many articles and books written about gambling in Las Vegas one of the things the writers agree on. They say that the average tourist visitor to the city comes with a fixed idea of the amount of money to gamble with.
Typically so many of them have a loser’s mentality. What they say is, if I lose the three hundred dollars I came to play with, I'll quit. Writers say $300 is the typical amount of money most of the visitors have budgeted for the trip. If you wonder how the casinos can keep operating and adding on to their casinos just multiply that by the millions of visitors that go to Las Vegas every year.
In addition with ATM machines around it takes discipline to just keep your losses to $300. After all isn't gambling one of the reasons you decided to go to Las Vegas?
The professionals (those few that have learned how to win gambling) have learned when they hit a losing streak to quit for another day. The weekend tourist usually does not. A healthy mental attitude is a wonderful thing to have when doing just about anything. There is no reason to start out with a losing frame of mind. Follow the rules and you can be a winner and have fun being one.
Winning beats losing, by a country mile!!!
The professionals have a theory about how much money you need to play blackjack, to keep from losing all your money.
I can only say, “forget it”, because if I had that kind of money, I'd use it for better things. The term they use is the “Risk Of Ruin”
.
The professional blackjack players have determined how much money you need to keep from losing all your money, based on your how much you bet. A five dollar player needs an unbelievable amount. A ten dollar player needs a small fortune and a big spender needs to be a multimillionaire. If I had that kind of money to spend I would find my recreation doing something else. Travel comes to my mind along with helping others but perhaps that is why I developed the “Lose little, Win Big” blackjack system.
Most of us are not professional players, we just want to play and not lose much and preferable win some money and have some fun winning and beating the system.
Who doesn't like to win?
This book is written by a person that hates to lose so bad, that if he does he won't play.
I sincerely hope you, like me, hate to lose.
Losing makes me feel like a fool, it makes me feel stupid and I don't like to feel stupid.
The professional card players say if you want to keep your losses down, leave the table when you are losing. This book will tell you just when to leave.
When push comes to shove, the less you lose, the more you win. It's a simple philosophy, and in our day to day living if we lose a twenty dollar bill, we would be happier if it were only a five.
I admire the blackjack professionals who have created a remarkable quantity of knowledge on playing blackjack and ways to make money playing the game.
In my reading of volumes of gambling and blackjack books there are a number of things that they've touched on, but haven't fully developed. They say learning to play using a BASIC blackjack program, can reduce the house advantage to an even fifty-fifty chance of winning.
In addition if you learn how to count cards you can actually have a winning advantage over the casino.
Those wonderful professional blackjack players have paved the way for winning in the game of blackjack.
Essentially, they all agree that learning basic blackjack strategy and learning to count cards, will enable you to win in the long run. The professionals say you must have the patience and the bankroll to weather the storm of a losing streak to be a winner. There are a several things that the pros never tied together and that is to give the weekend, vacation, tourist player, who plays for the short term, a real chance of winning or at least not losing much.
This then is being written to make it easier for you to Lose Little and Win Big, Playing the beatable game of Black Jack.
To answer the question is card counting necessary? The answer is not if you can get the cards to automatically tell you when the cards left to be dealt, will help you or hurt you.
As difficult as it is for you to believe the “Lose Little, Win Big” blackjack method will actually tell you when the cards help you.
The Wisdom of Professional Blackjack Players
We as blackjack players, are indebted to the professionals who have been playing, writing and teaching various ways to win playing blackjack.
They are indeed professional because they are knowledgeable and have paid their dues to learn their trade at the tables. In addition, they have added to their knowledge of the game by listening to and reading what other professionals have learned about the game.
Many of you have heard the story of the Blind Men and the Elephant. For those of you who are not familiar with it, I will summarize it for you.
There were six men of. Indostan who though blind were taken to an elephant and asked to describe what an elephant was.
The first having felt his leg, said an elephant is like a tree.
The second one happened to fall against it's side and decided an elephant was like a wall.
The third one taking the trunk in his hands said an elephant is like a snake.
The fourth one touched its ear and said it's like a fan.
The fifth seizing its tail said the elephant is like a rope.
The sixth feeling the tusk decided the elephant was very like a spear.
Each of them were. partly right and all of them were wrong.
The professionals in their own ways are a bit like that. However they are not blind and they agree on many things in the game of blackjack. Still they are not always in agreement on everything.
Some professionals say scout the tables before sitting down. They hope to find a table favorably to the players. Others say sit down, play the table minimum, pay your dues and wait for the count to become favorable, then bet up the count.
Some professionals sit on third base to make counting easier. While others say you should not sit on third base because the casinos know the card counters like to sit there.
Some professionals say that the first two cards dealt the player will have a low card in it. Others don't care one way or another, they say, “So What?” They say the first two cards dealt a player will also have a high card
Most professionals say if you don't learn how to count, don't play blackjack. Some professionals say don't play blackjack even if you know how to count, it's too tough a game to beat.
Some professionals say decide on how much money you are willing to lose and when you lose that much leave the table. Others say leave the table when you have had several consecutive losses. A few say just pick out the number of losses in a row you are willing to live with and when you reach that that number, leave.
Some professionals say if you are not a counter, you will lose because if you don't know if the remaining cards are favorable to the player, you don't know when to raise your bet.
Many professionals say that any betting system such as the Martingale system or any other betting system will not make a winner out of you.
Most professionals say if you want to win big money, Play big money.
Although all of the professionals that I've read about, say learn how to count if you want to win. However they are divided on which card counting system is best.
There's the Hi-low count, which has you counting the high cards and the low cards. In addition there's many other count systems. Some will even have you count either the high cards only or the low cards only. The professionals indicate they all work. some better than others so pick out the count system that appeals to you.
All the blackjack players know the average black jack winning hand is eighteen and one half. That means a hand of seventeen or eighteen isn't much of a winning hand.
All the professionals know the average number of cards a player receives on each round of black jack play is 2.7 cards.
All the professionals say your bankroll tells you what table minimum you should play at. All of them say don't go in with $100 bill and expect to win $1000 or for that matter $200. What they usually say is if you want to win big money start with big money. Don't play with a short bankroll. It takes money to make money.
Some professionals say that even if you know how to count, you can still lose because you can't fight the hot dealer, that gets 21 to your 20 or draws five cards to get a 21 when you thought you had a winning hand.
All the professionals say that when you play blackjack the more tens left to be played in the shoe the worse it is for the casino. As you know, the dealer has to draw even if he has a breaking hand if he hasn't reached the count of seventeen. That's the rules of the game.
Again, the professionals say that when the count becomes favorable to the player increase your bets immediately to take advantage of the situation. Simply put, when the cards favor you, bet more money so you can win more money.
Many professionals say, play at a table that has the fewest or even no payers besides yourself. If the cards go bad for the casino you will be dealt extra hands and make more money.
Many professionals say, play at tables that have a one or two deck game.
Still other professionals say play against a shoe. When a shoe goes bad (Has a high count of high cards) it stays bad for a long time to the advantage of the player.
All the professionals say, "Learn Basic Blackjack." Basic Blackjack tells you what to play based on the dealers up card. It tells you to hit, stand, double down or split. You have to learn to make the play without hesitation.
