Sudoku has attracted a mega number of puzzle fans around the world who engage in the challenge daily since it became well-known. Though this type of puzzle has existed for a long time, it was first popularized under the name Sudoku in 1986 by a Japanese puzzle company, and has been continually developed as an international hit during the past decades. The meaning of Sudoku is "single number.” It is based on the logical framework of dealing with combinatorial numbers. The objective is to fill a 9×9 grid with digits so that each column, each row, and each of the nine 3×3 sub-grids that compose the grid (also called "boxes", "blocks", "regions", or "sub-squares") contains all of the digits from 1 to 9. The puzzle setter provides a partially completed grid, which typically has an optimum solution.
Completed puzzles are always a type of Latin square with an additional constraint on the contents of individual regions. For example, the same single integer may not appear twice in the same 9x9 playing board row or column, or in any of the nine 3x3 subregions of the 9x9 playing board.
The following game rules and examples allows existing and new Sudoku players, people who such as you, to start the Sudoku trip, and to have fun with it. Let’s get started right now.
