Be A Winner

At Playing The Lottery

SECTION ONE

Introduction

Everyone likes to play games. Most of us started as children, playing monopoly or cards and as we became adults we may have switched our choice to poker, blackjack, canasta or bridge. Nowadays many of us play and sometimes win the various available lottery games. In fact lottery play is at an all time high. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to win a very big monetary prize? I think most of us have dreamed of doing just that. All our money worries washed away, money to spend as we please, no more nine to five job, spending our days doing whatever we please. If only it was that simple!

Most of us have bought a lottery ticket at one time or another, but rarely have we done so with any real sense that we would become wealthy from our play.

No one can predict which numbers will appear in the next lottery drawing, so basically we are all in the same boat on this. It might be possible to set up a research project that could accurately predict the next winning numbers, but such an undertaking would likely cost more than the prize is worth.

I, along with anyone else who claims they can, cannot tell you which numbers are going to be selected in a lottery drawing. But there are some known strategies and tips that work and that is what I’ll introduce in this book.

There is one thing that I can tell you with absolute certainty: If you don’t play the lottery you will absolutely never win. People do win the lottery and you have at least as good a chance as them. With tips and strategies you’ll be better prepared to win than the casual, once in a while, no plan, no strategy, player.

Whether you play just for fun or you want to step it up a bit and play toward a big win, there will be something in this book for you.

I caution you to remember that playing the lottery is a form of gambling and for some people the allure of playing to win millions of dollars can be addictive. You don’t want to find yourself in the position of trying to win back money that you need for other things, so play accordingly, using only money that you have designated for lottery entertainment.

The odds associated with winning the lottery can be daunting, but people do win and the amounts they win are very big. When playing the lottery you can make choices that work for you such as:

  • Play conservatively

  • Be aggressive

  • Play small amounts or play your

gambling allotment

  • Pick your game

  • Pick your numbers

  • Play with friends or coworkers as a group

  • Choose which State to play in

  • Set limits of losing or goals when winning

  • Use your intuition or rely strictly on strategies you have established for yourself

  • And on and on.

When you play the lottery, you get to make the decisions that most affect your outcome. The only thing that you can’t affect is which numbers will come up. But when playing the lottery you can be assured that other players don’t know which numbers will come up either.

So I believe your random odds are about as good as playing a computerized slot machine, which may not be programmed fairly or loosely, or a roulette table which may or may not be mechanically sound.

Computer programmers set the win and lose patterns on slot machines and winning requires you to be sitting at a particular machine when the computer program determines a winning pattern will appear. (And to be very opinionated, it is not wise to play online gambling games for money, whether cards, slots, roulette or whatever. It is also illegal in the U.S.)

Not so with lottery play where the numbers you play can be picked by you.

There are never any guarantees when you play the lottery, but you can increase your chances with a few helpful suggestions.

  1. You have to play the game to win the game. Buying a ticket is your first step.
