Introduction: Book Bloggers Sell Books!

Book Bloggers are so much more than reviewers. If you’re not making Book Bloggers a part of your marketing plan you’re cheating yourself. Book Bloggers have an unbelievable number of contacts and the potential of reaching thousands and possibly millions. If you’re a new author a Book Blogger might just be the most important person in your marketing blueprint.

I dropped an email to a friend who is an Indie publisher and author. In her reply she mentioned the new role book bloggers had started to fill in publishing; she even shared a link to Alan Rinzler’s blog, The Book Deal to illustrate the point.

Publishers have taken notice of Book Bloggers’ value as part of the publicity machine to the point of including them in this year’s Book Expo in New York.

Book Bloggers have also seen their worth and are running with that realization. They’re getting organized with conventions and co-ops. They fill niches, they are voracious readers and their followers are also avid readers. Their sites provide a book club atmosphere for the perusal & discussion of your book’s review, your author interview or book excerpt.
