Got
itchy feet or are just dying to have a weekend away? Well listen up!
This is one month you might want to double check you’ve actually
packed the tickets. I know this sounds a little nuts but Mercury, the
planet of travel and communication is retrograde and that means
there’s some serious astro-mischief afoot! In fact, don’t just
check you’ve packed the tickets, check the entire booking. Are
you sure the dates you typed in the hotel reservation form are
exactly the right dates? What about the travel insurance? You did
book travel insurance, didn’t you?!
I know, I know, I sound
like the worst kind of nag ever, but trust me fellow astro-gazers, if
you double check your plans, quite a few of you will be really glad
you did. Mercury is the jokester of the cosmic world and he loves
nothing better than messing up even the best laid plans. Remember the
ash cloud that disrupted so many flights last year? Quite a lot of it
occurred when Mercury was retrograde in 2010.
Mercury is the
planet that rules travel and communication and when he is retrograde
it means there’s an increased possibility of travel disruption,
delays, or even cancellations. Other areas of our life that may be
affected include any legal discussions you’re currently having such
as a divorce or buying a new house. As a result, if you can avoid
signing any contracts until after the 23rd, so much the better. This
is also not a good time to be buying a new computer or forgetting to
back up your existing files. So make sure you make a copy of any
important essays or photos you’d hate to lose! Interestingly,
Mercury also affects our relationships with others and you may find
yourself going over old ground in an argument you thought was
resolved ages ago.
However, have courage my fellow
astro-gazers! This is a very temporary situation which will be over
by the 23rd and it doesn’t signify bad luck or tragedy or anything
scary....it’s most likely to be frustrating that’s all. Signs
most affected are Aries,
Gemini, Leo, Virgo, Libra & Aquarius
but all starsigns should pay extra attention. Taurus,
Sagittarius & Capricorn
you should be just fine, as long as you watch what you say at home.
Someone important may be liable to misunderstand you. Cancer,
Scorpio and Pisces
look out for disruptions to your life at work. Make copies of your
files and important paperwork and be prepared for someone to ask you
to do a job that you wouldn’t normally be asked to do.
In
other astro news
There
is some good news! Looking on the bright side, Neptune, the big boy
planet with a marshmallow heart, is changing signs April 6th, and
luckily for us, he’s moving into Pisces. Now, before you get
too excited, realise that he’s only doing a little pre-visit. He’s
visiting Pisces until September, at which point he will return to
Aquarius to finish getting ready for the official move to Pisces next
year. However, this short visit will give us an important insight
into what is likely to come in 2012 and the years going forward.
Neptune is a planet that moves extremely slowly and the last time he
was in Pisces was in the 19th century, so to say this is significant,
is an understatement. The effects of Neptune are felt by
generations, rather than individuals, so Neptune in Pisces is
expected to bring a revival of idealism and lend greater support to a
new world vision that wants to move away from conflict.

Chapter 2: ARIES
(21st March to 20th April)
Ever feel like you’ve been waiting a lifetime for something interesting to happen and then all of a sudden ten different things happen all at once? Well, this is you right now Aries. There are seven planets in your sign this month, either staying for a while or just passing through, and each one is adding yet more astro-heat to your life. Perhaps you’ve been longing for a little attention from the planets and so this is welcome news, but perhaps the heat is getting a little too much now and you’d really quite like to get five minutes out of the sun. Well, either way, one thing is for sure…this kind of cosmic love doesn’t come by all that often, so make the most of it whilst you can!
There’s so much goodwill coming your way Aries it’s amazing, and you’d be a fool not to take advantage of it! More popular than ever, do not be surprised when you get flooded with invitations to socialize because this month, friends think you’re great, bosses at work think you’re on the path to success and a special someone (secretly or not so secretly) thinks you’re the sexiest thing alive! This April is simply electric with love and lust coming your way.
Not only that, but you can expect a boost in energy after Mars joins your sign from the 3rd. This will help any health issues you may have been having and they may even get cleared up altogether. Just one word of caution though….Mars can sometimes cause us to feel overexcited, or to move more quickly than perhaps is wise. So take a moment to check you’re not about to bump your head on an open window or a cupboard door in your desire to rush about keeping busy. You’d feel like such a noodle walking around with a sticking plaster across your forehead!
The only sad news is for those of you born between 21st March to 25th March as you’re the most likely to be struggling right now and my heart goes out to you. Uranus is bringing sudden disruption and change to your life and that’s never easy to get used to. Take heart in the fact that the need for change seems to be coming from you, rather than from someone else, as you struggle to find a balance between listening to your needs and keeping the status quo. That ultimately means that it’s you who can control the direction things go now. My advice? Focus on the positive and leave the negative for another day.
Chapter 3: TAURUS
(21st April to 21st May)
When you think back 10 years, what did you think you’d be doing with your life by this time today? What about 20 years? Sometimes our old dreams and visions are no longer with us because they proved to be unachievable or unrealistic or sometimes it’s just because we’ve forgotten about them. As you let go of your attachment to a work or health matter this month, you may find yourself wondering “now what?” That’s because under the surface (even though you may not be aware of it) there’s a lot of astro activity stirring up thoughts in your dreams and buried fears sector. As a result of all this astro-stirring, some issues that you thought you’d resolved some time ago might come back to the surface and that could be emotionally tiring. However, what I think is more likely is that you’ll rediscover old dreams or ideas from your past that you now think you have a better chance of making a reality.
So this month, take some time out to sit quietly and contemplate the future direction of your life. A work or health matter may be coming to an end but that doesn’t mean everything else is over. In fact, if you take the time to look around you and you see things afresh and from a different angle, you’ll be surprised by just how many opportunities surround you now. So why not clean out your emotional store cupboard of memories, hang-ups or old resentments that no longer serve you and instead try to forgive, forget and let go? It would be a wise motto for April.
Chapter 4: GEMINI
(22nd May to 21st June)
Is this month Heaven? It’s pretty close! I don’t want to hear any complaining about how you don’t have a minute to yourself this April Gemini, because in all other respects, you’re surely flying high on happiness right now. Never have I seen your friends and social sector lit up with so much astro-activity…it’s like looking at an over decorated Christmas tree! There is so much to do and so many people to see. You’re really riding a huge social wave right now. So much so, you might need to go and buy a bigger diary; there’s not much white space left to fill in your current one.
Something to do with your career or social status (did you just get married or have a child?) is also nudging for attention at this time but it’s doing so in a gentle, loving sort of way. Some Gemini’s may be feeling confused or lost right now, but the majority I think are probably feeling a little dreamy and content to just let things develop as nature sees fit. Now is not the time to be worrying about things out of your control, and most of you seem to be fully embracing that fact. Enjoy this month and all the attention it will bring you. This is a month to get out and about celebrating your popularity with friends and loved ones, not sitting at home wondering what you should be doing better. It is, in short, a month made for a busy socialite like you. Live it! Be it!
Chapter 5: CANCER
(22nd June to 23rd July)
When you lay down roots you lay them deep. So when someone tries to rip up those roots, possibly from right under your feet, it hurts so deeply it feels like it is tearing you physically apart inside. Allowing that person to continue doing that seems inconceivable to you. It goes against every instinct you were ever born with and that’s why, this April, you need to try to take a step back Cancer. It’s time for a little emotional distance so you can gain some perspective. Otherwise, you run the risk of driving yourself to despair.
An attachment you have to either a house, a home environment or a family member is coming to an end and whilst, it’s unlikely to be a huge shock, there is still something shocking about the way it’s making you feel. Even though at some level you know that what will be will be, emotionally, you are finding it extremely hard to let go. It’s understandable and it’s a sign of just how loving and giving of yourself you really are, but you need to try to release your emotional grip. The longer you hold on, the worse the pain will feel.
There is some bright light on the horizon. In fact, there is a huge spotlight lit up in your career and social status sector right now encouraging you to throw yourself into your career or to get yourself into the public eye in some way. Could you perhaps start a new campaign raising public awareness about a little known or understood illness? Indeed, there’s actually great success and luck to be found if you can do this….but you need to be looking in that direction to see the possibilities. Stop focusing on what you can’t change in life, and start focusing on what you can.
Chapter 6: LEO
(24th July to 23rd August)
Got an itch to travel oversees? Listen to the adventurer in you this month Leo as a bundle of planets in your long distance travel sector suggest it’s time you made your dream a reality. If you’ve got the cash handy, then book those plane tickets because fun, fun, fun is to be had! Whether you’re visiting old friends, long lost relatives or simply looking to broaden your horizons, the prospects for a fulfilling and enlightening time are great indeed. Yet, what about all those on-a-budget Leos out there? Do not fret! There’s plenty of other ways you can take advantage of all this astro activity and the two that most spring to mind are: education and spirituality.
Did you leave school earlier than perhaps was wise? Or are you looking to change careers or return to the workforce? If so, this is the perfect time to be thinking about starting a new course of education. It doesn’t matter what the subject is, the important thing is that you’re out there learning about life and trying to develop yourself. If education isn’t your thing, then you could also consider returning to your local place of worship and re-establishing your bonds there. An interest in religion or other spiritual paths could be sparked or reinvigorated and it could lead to a very interesting debate one night over dinner with friends! Do remember that not everyone shares the same point of view as you though…it’s nothing personal against you so try not to take offence!
Chapter 7: VIRGO
(24th August to 23rd September)
As someone who takes pride in learning from the past and in anticipating future problems (so they can be dealt with now before they get too bad) there’s one really major thing you’ve forgotten Virgo. The past never repeats itself. Sure…things can sometimes occur that seem spookingly similar but the fact is, the exact same sets of circumstances are never going to reoccur in exactly the same way. We may make the same bad choices (after all we are only human) but the physical situation in which you find yourself will be different each and every time. Even down to the time, the weather and the clothes you are wearing. What can differ the most however, is how you react to this situation and that, of course, is something over which you have complete control.
This month sees you wrestling with issues of the biggest kind: love, death, sex, and conception and this may be bringing back memories of another time in your past when you faced a similar situation. Perhaps you are struggling with anxiety now and your heart is racing just trying to get through the day. If so, please try to relax. You are going to be okay. There are seven planets all squeezed into this one small sector of your life right now, and they’re all trying to bring some sunshine into your life. Allow the universe to surprise you with its wondrous beauty and unpredictability and you’ll surely be glad you did. Good things await….have a little faith!
Chapter 8: LIBRA
(24th September to 23rd October)
Our relationships with others often reflect our relationship with our self, which suggests that this April you are feeling more peaceful about something that was previously bothering you. Why do I say this? Because this month sees you less interested in staying at home lost in introspective thought, and more interested in getting out and about socializing with others. A positive sign if ever I saw one.
A new moon in your relationship sector (and a plethora of other star studded planets) is bringing you a wealth of opportunities and if it is love that you’re looking for then you might just find it! Stop trying to find a partner who is just like you because no one really wants to marry their mirror image and remember that in the longer term, it is friendship, not good looks that will create the lasting bond. In my opinion, you need someone a little bit more decisive and daring than you normally are…perhaps someone with a cheeky grin and an athletic sporty side also? In short, I think single Libran’s would do well to keep their eye open for a sexy Aries this month. There are tons of them about and one of them might be just the astro-combo you need. Aries and Libra are opposite signs of the zodiac and some people believe they oppose each other, rather than complement each other but sometimes, that’s just what you need. Opposites do attract in life, and you could do with someone to bring some balance and perspective back into your life. I say, why not try it out?
Librans already in a relationship have much to look forward to also. Dinner parties and nights out will do much to rekindle the magic, so if you can afford a night out…do so! Watch out for a slight sting in the tail if you were born at the end of September however. Your partner may have something shocking or surprising to say. How this plays out is up to you, but there’s a lot of supportive astro energy right now so I suspect, you’ll both get through this okay.
Chapter 9: SCORPIO
(24th October to 22nd November)
There are lots of people out there who are as stubborn as you, but there are few who can come close to you in terms of sheer will and determination. When you dig your heels in deep, you do so with an iron core that has only one goal…to keep moving forward. From somewhere deep inside of you, there’s a well of strength that sustains you long after other people have given up.
Your health and working life sector is abuzz with astro activity this April and if something related to your work or health has been getting you down then it’s unlikely to continue to hold you back for much longer. You’re so tired, you just want to collapse or at best, go on holiday, but the work just seems to keep coming. On and on you trudge with your mind and body focused on one thing and one thing only…to get through this. Well, there’s good news! Now, all being well, you will. The end is in sight!
Not all Scorpio’s will find this month such hard work. In fact, some just love to be busy and if so, you’ll absolutely love the way everyone is turning to you with questions and looking for advice. Yet, I suspect most will be counting the days to when their next holiday is due and if that’s you then take heart. The rest of the year should be easier. In the meantime, remember that all this astro-energy is actually propelling you and your career forward right now and you stand a good chance of being favorably recognized by your superiors at this time. So make hay while the sun shines Scorpio and don’t worry…a good night’s rest is coming soon!
Chapter 10: SAGITTARIUS
(23rd November to 22nd December)
Stop listening to your goodie-two-shoes friend who’s harking on about responsibilities and instead and go and let your hair down for a bit. It’s about time you had some fun! There’s seven, yes seven (!) planets in this area of your chart right now and they’ve got one message in common: it’s time for you to stop being so serious and to remember the lighter, fun hearted side of you. Do you still have money troubles from last year? Well, if so, you’re right to continue to be cautious, but that doesn’t mean you have to stop having a life completely. Make a sensible budget before you go out and make it a matter of principle that you stick to it, but still go out. You need to get your face seen. Making new friends does wonders for your self esteem and besides, you might even surprise yourself with how much fun can be had despite the financial limitations. Try somewhere new (i.e. cheaper) that you wouldn’t normally go to – that could be interesting in itself!
Another idea (if you don’t want to spend money) is to get busy being creative at home. Even though you don’t always consider yourself a naturally artistic person, you’re actually quite gifted. Try an activity that is more hands on…like moulding large mounds of clay, or making something out of wood. Incidentally, this is also a great time to be trying to figure out any problems that require you to “think outside of the box”. So get brainstorming on some whizzy new ideas for your work or career. You might just find those money problems from last year become a very distant memory in no time at all!
Chapter 11: CAPRICORN
(23rd December to 20th January)
What does your home represent in your life? It’s not just a roof over your head, it’s also where those people you love the most live and where you show the softer, more vulnerable side to yourself. This month, seven planets are making home and family very much the topic on your astro agenda, so if you weren’t thinking about this subject before…you will be soon! This could mean you’re moving house this month, or it might mean someone at home is getting you all hot under the collar, or it might just mean you’re spending more time at home than you usually do. In fact, sometimes, it’s nice to lead a quieter life, doing not much other that tinkering with some home improvement jobs and strolling in the garden. Either way, the focus is very much on making this area of your life feel right; turning your house into a stable, loving home and a place you really like to come back to.
If you’ve never tried redecorating or interior design before, this might be a good month to try your hand at it. Start with something small and inconsequential so that if you mess it up, it won’t be a huge disaster, but do have a go. Just because you’re more used to dealing with financial figures or big projects, doesn’t mean you don’t also have a secret ability to redesign a tired old bedroom or revamp that smoke stained living room.
Chapter 12: AQUARIUS
(21st January to 19th February)
Nope, I’m not even going to try to pretend otherwise, there’s no rest for you this month Aquarius! As Uranus sets people’s pulses racing in your daily life sector and six other planets decide to join in the fun, there’s going to be jobs, jobs and more jobs to do…absolutely everywhere! So much so, that one thing is for sure…you’re going to be so busy running from one meeting to another that the month will seem to fly by. Take heart though, because despite all the hectic activity, you’ll probably have a lot of fun. So that’s good news, right?
You’re in your element when your mind is whirring at full capacity and never was a truer word said than at times like this when people are calling you at all times of day or night needing your advice. You love to be the one who has all the answers and right now, you really do seem to. Unable to put a foot wrong, you’re simply glowing from the buzz of all this activity and it’s being noticed. Something in your daily environment is going to change soon, if it hasn’t already, and it’s likely to be quite a surprise. Perhaps it’s the location of where you work that’s going to change, or perhaps it’s the people with whom you work. Either way, you’re unlikely to see the change coming. Don’t worry though, this is good change, not bad change and it’s going to bring new opportunities (and perhaps a big smile to your face too).
Chapter 13: PISCES
(20th February to 20th March)
You might not realize it but history is being made this month Pisces and you’re at the centre of all the action. Neptune, your planetary ruler and one of the wisest planets out there, is moving into Pisces on the 5th April, and that is something that hasn’t happened since 1861! This is only a very brief visit lasting until September, as he doesn’t move permanently to your sign until next year, but it will give you a little insight into how your life will change colour over the next few years.
Due to the fact that he is such a slow mover, Neptune is normally considered a generational planet, affecting many millions of people over a long period of time rather than having a day to day effect on particular individuals. However, for you, I suspect you will feel his energy in a big, very real way.
You’ve not had life very easy the last couple of years and that was mainly due to Uranus causing havoc, tension and conflict in your life. Thankfully, Uranus left your sign very recently and he won’t be back in your lifetime, so things should definitely be starting to calm down. Now that Neptune is following in the footsteps of Uranus, you can expect a softening in your life, as if everything suddenly got a lot more cosy. In fact, I can see some of you becoming quite giddy on the high of the mellow, tranquil feeling. Your imagination is liable to start going wild and this would be a great month to get busy writing a science fiction novel, painting a picture or writing a song. Never will you have felt more like a poet or songwriter than now!
Those of you who have a tendency to drug or drink addiction should take particular care at this time however as Neptune has a tendency to blur our sense of boundaries. It will feel harder for you to know what’s real and what’s imagined at this time and you could find yourself drawn inexplicably back to your drug of choice. For some, this may feel exciting, particularly if you imagine yourself to be the next great rock star on the path to greatness, and you may try to convince yourself that your addictions are helping you, not hindering. Yet this is not true. They may temporarily boost your creativity, but in the longer term they will cause serious damage to your body and make you more susceptible to depression, so do please try to hold back.
On the plus side, if you manage to stay clean of any nasty addictions, any psychic abilities you have will be heightened at this time and you can expect some particularly vivid dreams. You’re one of the most gifted signs out there when it comes to listening to the ethereal side of life. You are part of a new generation that has the potential to forge a new world vision, perhaps one that has not even been conceived of yet. Think about what you most would like to change about the world, and then get out there telling people about it. Even though you are only one small voice, if enough of you speak up, you will begin to be heard.
