Justice
Without conscience I could call you
Talk about old times, reminisce
I could enjoy your company
And forget the things I miss
Without conscience I could remember
The things of you I like
And not be saddened by your estimation
Of what you think is right
Without conscience I could carry on
And be your trusted friend
And blind myself to the injustice
Of the messages you send
But as much as I am troubled
By how I’m missing you
My scruples won’t allow me
To be unsighted ‘bout the truth
