Summary: I wanted to give my readers a chance to get to know my warped sense of humor. These bucolic remarks should suffice

When It's Last Call

What I am is no facade

American by birth

I'm from Dixie by God

I lived a fun life

I won't lie

I'm just asking that you

Fill me full of whiskey when I die

When it's last call

I won't have much to say

Just fill me full of whiskey and

Send me on my way

Shooters all around

So my friends don't cry

Roll me out when you

Fill me full of whiskey when I die

Try to get a pint from grandpa's still

Just do your best like I know you will

Don't use the cheap stuff, but

Any dew will do

Heaven or hell, I don't know

But I'll be smiling just for you

Won't you treat me like you love me

Give it a try and

Fill me full of whiskey when I die

Wave with all you fingers

When my car drives by

But whatever you do, darling

Fill me full of whiskey when I die

Please promise that you will

Just fill me full of whiskey

Don't let me down, fill me full of whiskey

Shooters all around, you got to

Fill me full of whiskey when I die

I want to thank Jim, George

And especially Jack

For being my friends

And watching my back

Fill me full of whiskey when I die.

This is a shameless promotion for my ebook: "What Didn't Kill Me Hurt Like Hell"

Hurt Like Hell

I got a lot of life to live

A lot of tales to tell

But, what didn't kill me

Hurt like hell

Driving down the road

Riding in the rain

Hit a big truck

Felt a lot of pain

Didn't get to see my kids

Left my wife

Everything happened

That could mess up my life

I got a lot of life to live

A lot of tales to tell

But, what didn't kill me

Hurt like hell

It wasn't much later

And what do you know when

I was on the same road and

It happened again

I yelled and I screamed

I begged and I pleaded

I couldn't get the help

That a poor boy needed

I got a lot of life to live

A lot of tales to tell

But, what didn't kill me

Hurt like hell

It wasn't meant to be

Or so it seems

That was a hell of a way

To crush a boy's dreams

To those that helped me

I don't know what to say

You put me back together

And helped me find my way

I got a lot of life to live

A lot of tales to tell

But, what didn't kill me

Hurt like hell.
