He ran, despite the freezing cold air moving ferociously past him. Snow had begun to fall, making it hard for him to see. His feet were becoming numb and his fingers were cramping. He slowed down for a moment to fix his scarf, he didn’t stop he slowed down. There was no way he could stop. He had to get there before 8:30 pm.
He was now on the main road. It was already 8:12 but he was confident he could make it in time. He just pasted the cemetery, when he noticed the little boy who dropped a bag. He turned around and ran to the boy. The boy had dropped a bag of potatoes. The boy looked colder than him, so gave the boy his scarf and helped him pick up the potatoes. Then he had run.
He sprinted away at full speed. It was now 8:25, there was no way he could make it on time but he keep running.
He got to the door afraid to open it. But she opened it instead.
“You’re grounded!”
“But—.”
“No ‘buts’! Get inside, young man!”
“Okay mom…”
He was grounded.
