1. A Memory
When
a puzzle box is opened
you dump the pieces on the floor.
The
picture seems much smaller
and you think there should be
more.
That is like my memories and
I can't merge them into
one.
I think back to every moment
puzzle pieces come undone.
I
thought you were perfect,
but you lied to be redeemed.
And I
just never realized
nothing was what it seemed.
One day you
changed it for me-
everything I knew.
My thoughts - my only
control,
changes despite what I do.
I remember hurting
then.
Because of what you did.
And the lies you made for
me
disguised what you had hid.
So you can continue lying
but
there's no need to lie to me.
I'll struggle with my puzzle
pieces
and the truth that I now see.
