Overcoming affliction in the physical body can sometimes be a challenge and an ultimate test for any individual. However, God has a full-proof plan, which is guaranteed to produce results. The problem is that we sometimes try to seek results with our own ideas and intelligence. We use all of our natural ability, attempting to accomplish such an impossible task of trying to do it all by ourselves. When it doesn’t work, then we turn to God for Him to pick up the broken pieces and put us back together again. However, to completely restore the body, you need both natural and spiritual food.
According to Matthew 19:24-26, Jesus says, And again I say unto you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
The Word of God says, …all things are possible. This means that you can be healed from disease, affliction, infirmities, mental struggles, and any other attack that could be affecting your body. But, it must be done with God’s direction and instruction. Your main focus must be on God--the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the Almighty God, the Supreme ruler and controller of everything--and not on any other gods or idols. You must come to the understanding and believe that only God can heal you permanently from whatever is troubling you, whether physical or mental. But you must use what’s on the Menu—the Bible.
When you sit down at a restaurant, the first thing that they do is provide you with a menu. This tells you know what the restaurant offers. If there is something that you’re craving, and it’s not on the menu, you have to go to a different restaurant that may offer what you want, or you have to choose to eat something else. In the end, if you are truly hungry, you will choose to eat something of what is written on the menu.
God’s Menu supplies you with the food and nutrients for all of your needs, but even more so, helps cure you of any discomfort in your life or body. This is not just like any other restaurant menu. It’s called the Holy Bible, which was written by holy men, inspired by the very God of this universe. Every written word has power and force to back it up.
For example, imagine that you were possessed with a demonic spirit or stricken with an illness in your body. According to Bible, if you declare the name of Jesus and believe in your heart that He is Lord, the demonic spirit has no choice but to leave your body immediately and any other illness has no choice but to go from your presence. That is called power. But to overcome your situation, you must know how to access that incredible power. You will be challenged and put to the test in great ways to see if you really want to be healed or overcome. Really want to overcome? Keep reading.
What is an Illness?
What is an illness or a disease? In the world, the doctor may call this a medical condition, a specific disorder or a serious problem that affects the physical body. This may also be called bad health or even indisposition. Although this may be correct according to medical terms, you also must understand that the same God who said to Moses in Exodus 3:14, I AM THAT I AM is the same God who controls this physical disability that the doctor calls a problem. In actuality, this is not really a problem at all, unless you make it a problem.
He/Jesus never sinned, nor ever deceived anyone. He did not retaliate when he was insulted, nor threaten revenge when he suffered. He left his case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly. He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed. (1 Peter 2: 22-24 NLT)
Notice that the Word of God said that you are healed and not that you will be healed. This indicates that your healing is already done according God.
How could a person suffer so much and not retaliate? Why would Jesus get his flesh turned and beaten for people whom He never even knows? Is this possible? Maybe not to you; however, He did it for you to be healed.
If He suffered for you when He did not know you, your healing is a minor situation to handle. This is an example of showing true love. This love is greater than the love of a mother, father or even a spouse. Therefore, your healing is really in your hands. Jesus paid the ultimate price a long time ago.
Try believing in Him and see what happens. It will blow your mind. Once you commit yourself to Jesus Christ, you can command healing in your body and it has to happen.
I would like to call disease and illness a scare, which represents that thing that was there before you were healed. For example, when you get a cut or have surgery, you take the necessary medications prescribed by the doctor, and you are healed from the inside. However, it may leave a physical scar on your body, but this doesn’t mean that the cut is not healed. It’s healed from the inside, but the outside has no reflection of what’s already occurred on the inside.
In Christendom, this works the same way. An illness or disease is just a scar left on your body from what was there before you committed yourself to Jesus Christ. Once you committed yourself to the Word (which is the medicine), you are healed; however, a scar may be visible for a period of time. So stop paying so much attention to the physical scar left behind. There is also a procedure to follow in order for the scar to be removed.
The Menu
To accomplish something you have never done before, you are going to have to do something that you have never done before. If you want to be healed or have a healthy life, you are going to have to step out of your comfort zone and be a little uncomfortable. You may not like it at first because it just might make you feel strange and out of place, but all you have to do is eat and digest what is written in the Menu.
If you take a good look at every vehicle that drives by on a daily basis, one out of every ten vehicles has a main menu on the dashboard, or somewhere inside it. If you visit someone who claims to be a Christian or a child of God, you will also find menus displayed around their home. However, the percentages of those who actually know what kind of food is written in the menu might be a big surprise if you took a survey. So to tell someone to eat this kind of food, it’s good for your health; they might look at you in a strange way. The Word of God is actually defined as food for the spiritual body.
The only way you will know what kind of food is offered for the price you are willing to pay is by opening the menu and physically seeing and reading what is written. Then you at least have a choice of whether you want to eat or not. So you have to at least pick up the menu and open it, and see what it offers.
If the only menu you have is displayed on your dashboard, or inside your vehicle, carry it inside your home. You are getting ready to finally see the results of the food that is offered in God’s Menu. If you already accustomed to opening this Menu and reading it, then you are on your way to a healthy and abundant life.
This is no time for procrastination. Time has come and went. We are entering into a new phase where it’s all about action and getting results. If you have to send the children to their grandparents for a little while, do that. However, it’s not necessary to isolate yourself for this food to work in your body. Although, it will take some dedicated time and effort.
In this new age and time, many have dismissed, or diminished the powers and ability that the Word of God possesses, as to think God changes with the times and age. Because of so many false prophets and people who claimed to be healers sent by God, disbelief has surfaced and blinds many people. However, God’s Word is as great and powerful as it was written in the beginning, and to all who desire to experience the marvelous results that it offers, it’s available for you.
According to 2 Corinthians: 1-4, Therefore, since through God's mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
There are many gods that don’t believe you can be healed from what is written is God’s Menu, and they have blinded the eyes of those who want to believe it does. The miracles that were performed by our Lord Jesus has been said to be mere stories by just a good man. But I say to you, if you have an illness and you are seeking healing from the Great God Almighty, turn a deaf ear to the unbeliever and hear what the Holy Spirit is saying to you. You can and will be healed by the Word of God.
