Authors Note: How to Get the Most out of this Workbook

You probably registered for this workshop because…

  • you want more

  • you want less

  • you want to eliminate something entirely from your life

  • to expand or leverage opportunities that have presented themselves

  • to get more focus

  • to navigate a transition in your life

Perhaps you are looking to jump back into the driver’s seat and make more conscious decisions in the future or take advantage and expand the growth and momentum you already have going for you. Either way this workshop is going to not only set you on that path but also give you tools to keep you on track as you forge your own path i forward.

Getting the most out of your workshop

  1. You are on a journey; I personally go thru the process of The Foundation Course (contained with this workbook) every year. This is an annual activity which many of you are doing for the first time. Each time you complete this process you will uncover another layer of the onion and go deeper as you discover more about you and your intentional and exceptional life. If you can be open to the possibility that you will get what you are meant to get from the process each time you do it, the process will be much easier and more fun for you.

  2. You may find the whole process intimidating. Is this going to be another one of those things you pick up and put on your book shelf to gather dust? You start out full of good intentions but then end up feeling guilty and frustrated. If this is you, then I suggest you make an appointment with yourself to review your personal compass regularly, set aside a few minutes, a lunch hour or the time it takes to do a load of laundry. Put the book in a conspicuous place (create a winning environment for yourself) so that you are reminded to check your compass regularly. No shoulds, no guilt. Give yourself permission to play whenever you want. I also strongly recommend you attend a Success Circle or Momentum Mastermind Group each month to keep you on track and provide the support and accountability of a group.

  3. Are you completely overwhelmed? Don’t worry there is no need to catch up! Let go of the past and perfection and work on this moment here, right now. Use “good enough is good enough” as your mantra. The Foundation Course, contained within this workbook is completely different for everyone. This is not a competition. Someone may have a beautiful, poetic answer they share during an exercise, appreciate the beauty of their answer with the understanding that the goal is not to create poetry it is to find what resonates with you. Sometimes the answers you come up with will sound beautiful but mean nothing to you. Sometimes your answers will sound clunky and awkward but strike a chord directly with your heart, then you know you are on the right track. Listen to your heart and stay present and you will ream the most benefit from the course.

CCongratulations on taking the first step to “Discovering Your Intentional & Exceptional Life”. This is an empowering and motivating workbook to uncover your authentic intentions and it will have a profound effect on your life.

Life spirals before us full of “choice points” and the opportunity for breakthrough moments. I’m sure you are familiar with the expression “School of Hard Knocks” as a metaphor for life. Just like the weeds in your garden you will continue to grow whether or not you choose to participate in the process. Why not choose to be proactive with your growth and development? Jim Rohn in a recent presentation spoke about market value. What are you worth in the market place? Are you undervalued or undervaluing yourself? In the video he quantified that what you are worth is defined by the perceived value you have to bring to the table. The only way to increase your perceived value is to work on yourself. Taking control of your cycle of development and be mindful and conscious of the process. You will speed up the learning curve and raise your market value exponentially.

It is so easy to get excited and take action when we are stimulated or an idea emerges, but I want to encourage you to enjoy the journey as you move through the module’s today and not put the cart before the horse.   Time lies ahead of us as a blank sheet full of opportunities and I encourage you to take advantage of what you are doing here.  I know it is difficult but try to start with a blank slate.  Let the process unfold naturally.  Before you rush excitedly into action lets till the soil, put on some fertilizer, and then shop for plants.  Be patient and enjoy the gardening process. You will reap the fruits of your labor.

As you go through the chapters you will be tackling challenges that you may have been ignoring or tolerating for years. You may have to shift your thinking, boundaries, relationships, habits and behavior. This is not in any shape or form designed as a quick fix. Your commitment is essential. You will receive back as much as you put in. No more, no less. You will, at times, be discouraged but that is part of the process. Be honest with yourself about how you are feeling. Share the burden of your challenges and feel the weight being lifted off you. You do not need to carry them alone. If you follow and commit to the program, you will be excited to find life a little simpler, easier and less stressful.

Now that’s something to strive for!

Your Success Coach,

Marianne Emma Jeff

Strategy Overload: The Day That Turns Your Life Around

Living in the information age with technology developing at a dizzying speed can be exciting and overwhelming. Desire is imperative for you to thrive, without it like a flower wilting from overexposure to the sun and lack of water the life can be simply sucked out of you. Knowing what makes you tick and recognizing when you are out of time or rhythm motivates you to get back in sync. Over the years I have shared with hundreds of clients and participants in my workshops the importance of getting real and the gifts that "falling off the horse" teaches us. In fact, I encourage failure as a valuable tool for growth. I know that my clients learn more through the challenges and apparent failures they encounter as we work together than they do from the successes. Today as I enjoyed the life flowing back in me and began to satiate my desire to learn and grow, I came across three videos' from Jim Rohn a leading motivational speaker and business coach. In a very succinct way he explained the importance of the truth empowering "you to pick up the discipline for life change."

The Day That Turns Your Life Around according to Jim Rohn

S

The root of

All of this change, however,

starts with

"The Facts!"

tep
- Disgust with the way things are!

Step - Decide that things must change.

Step - Desire for things to be different.

Step - Resolve to never give up until you attain it.

Top performers in all fields regularly check-in and track their progress. Often they hire coaches to help to do just that. Reviewing your results on a regular basis teaches you "a great deal about your own activity, philosophy and attitude." By holding yourself accountable to make measurable progress in reasonable time, you take those results and catapult yourself to change; In doing so you dramatically increase your market value.

Why is this program different?

The book shelves are FULL of “How to” books and I’m sure if your email box is anything like mine it is bursting with e-courses, workshops and teleconferences. All promising to help you get the life you want. These are all cookies cutter systems where you follow the recipe and buy the exact cookie cutter they prescribe and then fingers crossed you will end up with beautiful, delicious cookies. Life is neither that predictable nor consistent for everyone! Cooking in the mountains involves using different oven temperatures to the valleys, different brands of sugar vary and so do people, circumstances and what motivates them.

This program and accompanying workbook is centered on exercises that empower and motivate YOU to discover WHO you are and what makes you tick to uncover your distinct and unique values. Armed with this essential information, you then go on to uncover what you need and begin to wet your appetite for it.

  • Setting goals is only half the battle.
