Adam glared out the window. He felt a eerie sense that startled his mind. He knew better then to give into it however. It was the prick of paranoia. He glared at the phone, and thought about picking it up. But a knock on the door brought him out of his emptiness.

Adam moved to the door, and opened it. He saw the housekeeper with gloves in hand. She had been doing some gardening.

“Why in the garden?” asked Adam as he glared at her with eyes that were vacant.

“Your bed was a mess, I said that I would do it rather then the house! It's so tidy you won't miss me doing it for a week!” gasped the housekeeper Anne.

Adam shrugged and stepped aside as he let the housekeeper inside. She smiled and entered the house, and she took her hat off as she did. Adam smiled, and then asked if she could make him dinner. The housekeeper nodded, and told him she would do it after she washed up.

“I have gotten dirty!” she gasped, before she moved in order to enter the guest bathroom.

Adam closed the door and followed the housekeeper. He did so with his eyes on her back as she moved it. She had a swagger that was hard to let go of. It was the kind that was written about in books but which no one ever really got to see. Adam smiled as he glared at the back, and moved as though he were stalking in a Hollywood movie. He felt his eyes grow alight, and then he almost growled.
