Introduction
The word nutrition simply means "The process by which an organism takes in and assimilates food; anything that nourishes; food; and the study of diet and health." We, as human beings, have one main task in life, and that is the securing of food that is full of enough nutrition to provide our bodies with enough energy to do its work daily. This energy is the fuel our body will burn as we go about our daily work, and just as your car has to have fuel before it can run, so does our human body.
Let's face it. We love to eat. Everyone has their favorite foods and drinks they just can't seem to live without. All food has some nutrition, but some foods far outweigh others in their nutritional values. In this book, The Study Of Diet And Nutrition In The Human Body, we are going to delve deep into the study of Diet and Nutrition In The Human Body and see if we can get down to the real truth about all the media hype on all the "magic bullets" out there that claim to help our bodies and that are so good for us. We are going to learn exactly what our body needs in terms of good nutrition, how we can get all the nutrients we need, find out if all the hype about taking vitamins is really true, learn all about our awesome digestive system, learn how to plan our daily meals from the 7 foods groups, and we are going to have fun doing it.
The study of the human body is just simply fascinating. Do you know what your alimentary canal is and where it is located? Do you know where most of the digesting of the food you eat takes place in the human body? Do you know how long it takes to digest one meal? Do you know how long the food you eat stays in your stomach before passing into the intestines? Do you want to learn all about the synthetic vitamins you take every day and why you should not be taking them? If you don't know the answers to any of these questions then this book is definitely needed in your medical library and you need to put this book on your desktop right now! Share it with your children and see their eyes light up as they study the human body and its wonderful awesome organs that keep us healthy and beautiful.
Are you confused and fearful over what you should and should not eat due to advertising hype over certain foods and vitamins? Have you been falsely led to believe that there is one certain food, vitamin, or diet that is going to heal your wonderful body? Has someone told you that you absolutely need 10 glasses of water daily to be healthy?
This book, The Study Of Diet And Nutrition In The Human Body, is going to open your eyes and enlighten you on silly food fears, food fads, bad advice, and false hopes when it comes to your nutrition and health. You are going to learn what foods to eat for perfect optimal health, when to eat them, what to include in every meal to get the nutrients you need daily, why a diabetic needs to know this information, and how to live a long and healthy life through this awesome diet and nutrition study and how not to be led down a path of "miracle cures and etc."
Are you ready to start living a life of healthy skin, radiant health, perfect sleep, perfect nutrition, and a lovely body? Then let us get started with our awesome, amazing, educational, informational, and terrific Study Of Diet And Nutrition In The Human Body.

Carbohydrates In Human Nutrition
The human body must secure a major raw fuel source that can be used for quick energy. This raw fuel source comes from carbohydrates. These carbohydrates can be found in many plant foods in the forms of starches and sugars. A plant will transform energy from the sun using water and carbon dioxide as raw materials along with chlorophyll in the green leaves as a part to manufacture this amazing energy food. So do you know what the word, "carbohydrate" really means. Carbohydrate arrives its name from the structural chemical elements of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen.
So here we have one of the first major raw fuels we are going to need in order for our body to have good nutrition: Carbohydrates.
There are three simple sugars in carbohydrates that our body needs for our human nutrition. The simplest form of these sugars is called monosaccharide. There are three of these sugars that are most important to our human nutrition:
1. Glucose
2. Fructose
3. Galactose
The more complex double sugars are called disaccharides and the three most important are:
1. Sucrose
2. Lactose
3. Maltose
Even more complex dietary carbohydrates are made up of many sugar units and are called polysaccharides. The most important to our human body are the following:
1. Starches A major source of energy
2. Cellulose A necessary digestive aid
It is interesting to note that a small amount of carbohydrate is stored in your liver and in your muscles in a form of glycacon. Your blood sugar also carries a small amount.
What can be concluded from this study on nutrition about dietary carbohydrates?
1. Dietary Carbohydrates are needed regularly to meet your body's energy needs and to help spare your body from using too much protein for energy.
2. Sufficient Carbohydrate being eaten throughout the day has an antiketogenic effect, which will prevent our bodies from breaking down the fat too rapidly for the energy it needs. If this happens a condition called ketosis occurs, which is a strong amount of acid in our blood called ketones
There are two vital organs in the body that depend on the right amount of carbohydrates in the form of glucose being constant in our body. These two organs need this glucose to maintain their specific functions. The two vital organs are:
1. The Heart
2. The Brain
Let us ask a few questions and see if we know the answers from our study in nutrition so far:
1. What is the primary role of the human body?
2. What kind of fuel do we use to make our human body run well?
