Tamatha glanced out the window. It was a weird kind of day. It seemed still. She looked to the sky and scoured it for falling birds. There weren't even any cloud.

“This is weird;” she muttered, before she picked up the phone.

Tamatha rang her friend Charlotte. They had been friends since grade school, and could pick up any subject off the back of a hat.

“Hey yo;” muttered Charlotte as she picked up the phone as she held a hair crimper to her hair.

“Hi there!” muttered Tamatha.

“Hey Tam!” cried out Charlotte. “What's up?” she asked.

“It's weird that the day is still don't you think?” asked Tamatha.

“Really? I thought it was just a great day;” told Charlotte as she shrugged.

“What are you doing?” asked Tamatha.

“I am going shopping;” told Charlotte.
