DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU ARE A BULLY! …OR MAYBE YOU SHOULD. IT MIGHT BE GOOD FOR YOU!

Now that I have your attention, you can proceed…

However, I must tell you that this book is about bullying, and how it makes the bullied kids feel bad, sad, angry, scared, and sick!

FOREWORD:
WHAT DOES THE WORD BULLY MEAN?

A bully is someone who repeatedly hurts someone, picks on someone, or teases someone with words or actions. Bullying always happens more than once. It is a repeated action.

There are two kinds of bullying: physical and non-physical: Physical bullying includes hitting with fist or with any weapon, like a knife, shooting, pulling hair, snapping with fingers paper wads/food/trash, beating, and anything that involves physically hurting the bullied kid.

Non-physical bullying includes teasing, calling names, starting rumors, and telling lies about the bullied kid.

Usually bullies pick on someone who is smaller or weaker than they are, or someone who cannot defend himself/herself or starts crying easily. Bullies try to be better than the opponent (the bullied person) is.

CHAPTER 1:
WHO CAN BE BULLIED?

Now, before you say, “Bullying, who cares? Some kids are bullied and some are not.” Think again. You can be the next one being bullied…unless, you already are.

Bullies are not just there to make other people miserable. They are there to make EVERYBODY miserable: kids, their friends, their classmates, their teachers, their neighbors, their relatives, their siblings, and their parents. Bullying touches the lives of everybody around them and the ones they bully.

Someday, the bullies can be there to make YOUR LIFE MISERABLE! Even if you do not think so now, it can happen.

Nobody is protected from the bullies. Nobody is free from being bullied.

Nobody is living inside a safe bubble.

Questions:

Have you seen somebody being bullied? And if yes, do you know why?

Have you been bullied? And if yes, why?

CHAPTER 2:
THE STORY OF BUCK BULLY

Buck Bully was an ordinary boy. He had dark hair and freckles. He had a sister and two brothers.

Buck’s first victim sat in front of him in the classroom. He was much smarter than Buck. He answered correctly to all the teacher’s questions – unlike Buck who could not even read properly. Buck felt stupid. He did not like to feel stupid or excluded.

Buck became so jealous that he hit his classmate-victim in front of him with a rolled notebook on the back of his head when the teacher was not looking at them.
