To make a Wreath Towel, you will need:

* a size 24 tapestry needle

* a huck towel with approximately 9 floats per inch

* 2 skeins of green embroidery floss, DMC 986 suggested

* 1 skein of red embroidery floss, DMC 326 suggested* a ruler

* a pair of scissors

Please take the time to prepare the towel and prepare the threads before you start.

How to Prepare the Towel

Huck towels can be hard to find. They are made of a special fabric with two-thread "floats" that are like little loops on the surface of the fabric. You most likely will have to buy cotton huck toweling and hem it yourself. Regardless, you need to wash the fabric first thing. It must be washed before stitching to preshrink.
