Chapter 1 - Introduction

Humans being the most intelligent species and having lived on Earth for thousands of years, we are yet nowhere near to a life of peace, love, joy and harmony. This book contains a hypothetical story of a young man, Tom, who had a second and a third conversation with Guru Harry. These are continuations of their first conversation which is contained in the book “Wisdom on How to Live Life”. Guru Harry epitomizes someone from a spiritual society who offers a way of living which can lead to peace, love, joy and harmony.

In the second conversation, Guru Harry expounded his spiritual wisdom on:

(1) how to become masters of life,

(2) why it is better to believe that we can be enlightened while we are with the body,

(3) what we should do after becoming enlightened,

(4) what prevents us from having divine experiences,

(5) what is the language of the Divine,

(6) how to hear the Divine,

(7) why meditation is important,

(8) what is the language of the soul,

(9) why we should be careful with our thoughts,

(10) why we should not curse,

(11) how to choose a guru,

(12) how to find out our interest and mission in life,

(13) what type of people is most dangerous,

(14) what is the real problem with attachments,

(15) what is the purpose of pain and suffering,

(16) what we have left after losing everything,

(17) why it is better to believe that people die at a time of their own choosing,

(18) what are good-bad experiences,

(19) how to practice unity in diversity, and

(20) how to bring peace to Earth.

In the third conversation, Guru Harry expounded his spiritual wisdom on:

(1) what life is like without a body,

(2) what is a life review,

(3) which concept of God is more empowering,

(4) what is the real power of believing we are divine,

(5) which is the way to God,

(6) why it is important to believe that God and I are one,

(7) why we should think twice before taking any action,

(8) why some people take bad actions,

(9) why some people do not evolve spiritually,

(10) why we should transform Earth into heaven.

Through the second and third conversations, young Tom is even more prepared and wiser on how to live his life.

Chapter 2 - Second Conversation with Guru Harry (Part 1)

Hello Guru Harry, it’s been four months since I last saw you and I’m glad that you’re still here.

You mean I’m still with my body.

Yes, I mean you’ve not gone and left.

Young Tom, whether I’m with or without my body, I’m always here spiritually. On the other hand, physically speaking, yes I’ve not left my body yet. The doctor gave me another six months to live.

You know Guru Dick has left his.

A man has to go when a man has to go.

Are you grieving?

No, no, I’m sure Guru Dick chose the time when he wanted to leave his body. So there’s no need to grieve.

Shall we pray for him?

Yes, sure.

May Guru Dick rest in peace. Amen.

Amen.

Actually how can we know that people really choose their time to leave their bodies?

Have you heard of mediums?

These are the people who can talk to souls, right?

Right, these are the people who can talk to souls without bodies.

Then?

If you check with them, they’ll tell you that they’ve asked the souls why they’ve left their bodies.

What did the souls say?

The souls said “Because we chose to do so.”

Really?

The souls chose the time and circumstance to leave their bodies.

So the souls chose when and how to die.

Actually, we all choose when and how to die spiritually.

We do?

Remember everything in life is our own choosing.

And that includes the moment of death?

Yes, it includes the moment of death.

What a revelation!

There’re many things that happen in our lives which we think they’re bad or unfortunate.

But actually?

Actually, they can be good spiritually.

So all the untimely deaths are good?

Spiritually speaking, there is no untimely death.

How come?

Because we choose our moment of death. So all deaths are to perfect timings.

This is hard to believe, right? I mean we see so many deaths which happen at a time when we can at least say “inconvenient”.

Define “inconvenient”.

I mean some people die at an age when their families still need them.

It’s true that some deaths cause difficulties to their families, sometimes a lot of difficulties.

Then?

At the spiritual level, maybe the families need the difficult experience.

For what?

For their spiritual evolution.

But isn’t it cruel?

If the families can evolve spiritually through the experience, it’s actually good for the families.

But then there’re many people who have died and the timings did not appear to be chosen by them.

Because they chose their timings spiritually and they may not be aware of them physically.

So all experiences are good?

Yes, we often consider difficulties as “bad” experiences. Actually, we can consider them as “good-bad” experiences that are “bad” experiences put to good use. I have written an article on this and it can be found in Appendix A.

Wow, it’s a very interesting article. So we can make good use of our “bad” experiences.

There is no good or bad; only thinking makes it so.

But what happens if we don’t have a medium to talk to?

Then believe it’s so.

Believe what’s so?

Believe that people choose their own timings to leave their bodies.

How?

Okay, let me turn the subject around. Let’s say you don’t believe that people choose their own timings to leave their bodies.

Okay, I don’t believe.

How would you feel when your loved one departed and you believe that she didn’t choose to do so?

I would feel sad and possibly angry.

Now, how would you feel if you believe that your loved one departed according to her wish?

In a way, I may feel joyful as her wish has come true. In any case, I’ll feel relieved. I’ll respect her wish, support and bless her.

So was her departure untimely?

She chose to go at her own time, how can it be untimely?

So which belief is “better”?

Believe our loved ones choose to leave their bodies at their own time.

Right. There is another reason why this belief is “better”?

What is it?

We can feel a sense of peace for the departed. So, they can rest in peace.

Peace at last.

Precisely. In fact, can there be a better wish for the departed?

No, rest in peace is the best wish for the departed.

Can there be a better wish for the living?

Also no, to be able to live in peace is the best wish for the living.

Do you see the importance of beliefs?

Yes, I do. Different beliefs give diametrically opposite outcomes.

That’s why we should choose our beliefs carefully and wisely.

But how?

When you choose your belief, ask one question.

What is the question?

Does it bring peace?

Yes, peace is a “better” goal in life.

If the answer is yes, the belief is spiritually sound.
