Excerpt for The Werewolves First Christmas (Poem) by Jeanette Raleigh, available in its entirety at Smashwords

The Werewolf’s First Christmas

A tale of love so long ago

When unto them a child was born

Three kings traveled from the east

By sand and sea as furry beasts

Waiting by the manger bed

The werewolves talked amongst themselves

Would the babe have razor claws?

Sharpened teeth and giant paws

Would he lead the hunt for fae?

Vanquish night and subdue day

Or fight the legion vampire hoard

As the savior of the world

Shocked and stunned the werewolves blinked

When at last the babe did cry

Could the Were-God be a ram?

For the were-king was a lamb.
