The title of this ebook sounds like a hustler’s pipedream.

It’s not. The process is doable, replicable, and full of the kinds of rewards that entrepreneurs desperately want, like

* Lots of money. Soon. A high and steady flow forever.

* Very low or no risk.

* If goods are involved, little or no stock. Quick turnover. No heavy lifting.

* If speaking or writing are the means, no cold calling. Editors and bookers contacting you, filling your schedule, doing your promotion.

* Virtual employees. Your own schedule.

* Time to do what you want.

* Leaving your mark forever.

* Your name immediately perceived as a font of expertise. Said another way, when a person mentions your expertise, up comes your name.

I call it empire building—with you the emperor or empress.

Two more good things happen to you as your empire unfolds:

One, in addition to well-earned, on-going wealth, you will also help create a better life for those who are paying you.

And two, you will leave true remnants of residual fame, at least in your niche field, to be admired by your family, their families, and other people you don’t even know.

But it doesn’t just happen because it can or because you want it to.

You have to do your part. No elixir here, no magic dust, no get-rich-quick schemes. It takes some hustle and hard work in the beginning.

Alas, the harder you work at the outset, the less you must work later—yet the results continue to increase your income.

There’s no trick to it either, as you’ll see in a moment. It works if you do. You simply make your special knowledge indispensable and you dispense it profitably by many means: usually through a book or a seminar first, then as your empire spreads out, by related books, booklets, speeches, workshops, videos, classes, consulting, through the web,…

Let me sketch an outline on these pages that you can apply to your unique core knowledge and tools, and share two examples to help you better see how your indispensability can feed you and your followers bountifully for decades to come.

What’s the process?

The process begins by identifying the kind of information you must sell to position yourself profitably. (The profit comes from the positioning. You get there through what you say, write, or produce.)

The means by which you sell your information are largely determined by what you want to achieve—your goal(s). How you must sell your information, for how much, and what kind of a selling structure you will need are also legitimate questions, but at the outset they are the proverbial carts-before-the-horse. First you must know the kinds of information that people buy.

What do you bring to the table?

If you’re a celebrity, recognizable by name or face, you have an asset that the rest of us don’t have. People buy all sorts of information about or from celebrities.

The rest of us non-celebrities have a heavier burden. We must somehow get some gem of information or knowledge before the eyes of others that they are begging to know and eager to buy.
