The night sky was beautiful and all the night stars were out, they gleamed like firefly’s, moving and shining.my name is Trevor and I am a geologist, I was stuck in the Egyptian desert, why? Because I was going to the great pyramids and on my way my car hit a sand dune, turned on its side and got completely covered in sand.(well most of it did)so I was stuck there either until I was rescued or I stumbled across an Egyptian city. I was hungry and thirsty so I opened the trunk (which somehow managed not to get buried in sand) and got out some ration packs and water. I ate and drank most of it and then I was finally full, I hadn’t realized night had come so quick, even though it was dark it wasn’t time to sleep, because if I did someone might pass by and not see me just the wreck.so I stayed near my truck until the morning came, still no one had come, so I started packing up the rest of the rations and water I had and put it in a backpack and then started away from my truck and into the desert. I went for miles and miles still no sign of anything, then I saw it a car on the dirt road, I ran as fast as I could towards it but it passed by, I felt sadness and rage and started crying a little bet but I continued on. This brings you to the present. I continued on for many days seeing nothing but cacti and scorpions and the heat and dryness were almost unbearable, but I was thankful I had brought tons of water and food. I was walking along and then I saw it, at first it was a tiny speck of dust on the horizon but then it I got bigger and I realized it was a village, I thought, yes a village with real people and water and food and beds.as I got closer I realized the village was completely abounded and there wasn’t a soul in in sight. I still ran towards I with a ton of hope. I looked around and didn’t see anything but air so I explored some more and as I was looking around I saw something in the middle of the village, it was a stone tablet with some ancient writing on it, it read: όλοι όσοι εισέρχονται πρέπει να καταστρέφονται.since I am a geologist I was able to decipher it, it now read: all who enter shall be destroyed. I thought I might have been left by the villagers to ward of people or it might have been left by a teenager as a prank to all travelers, but what I really was curious was why was the writing in Greek, I mean this I Egypt, which proved a bunch of theory’s wrong but there wasn’t enough time to think about that because all of a sudden from behind I heard a screeching yell and roar of something. Instinctively I ran because thinking screw looking at what made that noise I’m running for my life. I ran into the nearest house I could find but the house just exploded with rubble and the next one I ran to did also, then I found one it didn’t destroy and hid and didn’t make a peep my heart skipped like 10 beats and I felt like I was about to have a heart attack, but I kept cool and didn’t move so much as a centimeter in either direction. Then the roars slowly got quieter and then finally stopped, after I was sure it was gone I fainted on the floor.in the morning when I woke up was so happy because I thought it was just a dream but I quickly realized it wasn’t when I went outside and saw the ripped up and smashed houses and the tablet with the Greek letters on it, I quickly ran to my backpack(witch I had dropped in front of the tablet)and picked it up and I quickly ran out of town hoping that I wouldn’t be ripped to shreds and eaten like a peanut. Many days passed and I was running low on supplies. Then I saw a Egyptian city and I thought to myself if that’s the same one and I’ve walked in circles I will friggen explode, thankfully it wasn’t and there plenty of people. I went to the police and told them what happened and they asked questions like, sirs are you drunk? And sir do you need some water because being dehydrated can cause hallucinations. I answered them all but they still didn’t believe me, but I don’t blame them I mean what would you do if some guy came in saying there a monster and he tried to kill me, I would probably feel the same way they do. So in the end they said and I quote u should go see a doctor old man the heat can play tricks on your old brain. I went outside and started mumbling to myself, I’m not old…….think they are….callin me old…..ill show them. I continued on and instead of going to the doctor and told my friends about what happened they said we can check out the village later and went up to the pyramid walls and read all the hieroglyphics seeing what we could find. Then I saw a tiny piece of writing and touched it to be able to pronounce the words but somehow I guess I hit a trigger and something activated I backed way with my friends and suddenly door started opening everything went white and I woke up In a place I was not familiar with. to be continued…
