ABOUT THIS GUIDE
The Shroomer’s Guide to Safe Shrooming is a how to manual designed for informational and educational purposes only. Any use beyond that is not the responsibility of this author. In a hypothetical situation, a person might decide to partake in the magick of psychedelic mushrooms, and hypothetically, if they were to do so, they would want a guide just like this. A guide that could offer them the best suggestions for maintaining a safe environment throughout their journey. Hypothetical or not, knowledge leads to wisdom, and wisdom means safe journeys.
Nothing in this guide should be misconstrued to suggest that you should or should not seek out or consume psychedelic mushrooms. If you should decide to do so, you do so at your own legal, psychological and physical risk. So make sure you understand the laws in your area concerning psychedelic mushrooms, as well as all the personal risks associated with consuming them.
FAIR WARNING
There are real dangers to consuming shrooms and you should be fully aware of them before reading any further. Psilocybin and psilocin, the active ingredients in most psychedelic mushrooms, are not know to be toxic or lethal substances, however, they are still a type of poison. It is the poison which creates the hallucinogenic effects, physical sensations and heightened visuals.
When taking shrooms you are at risk from ingesting the wrong type of mushroom, which could be a deadly twin. You are also at risk of having a bad experience, which could mentally put you in a dangerous state. If you have not properly prepared yourself for shrooming, or you chose to act irresponsibly before or during your shrooming, you could find yourself in legal or life threatening situations. Do not take this warning lightly, as it could make every difference.
You have now had fair warning of what you are about to involve yourself with, and it is important that you do all your research before going any further. In this guide I will provide you with the best information I can, but that doesn’t not mean that I know everything, or that you couldn’t stand to do more research. If you partake without full knowledge of what you are doing or you chose to abuse the shrooms, you can easily put yourself and others at risk. It is the aim of this guide to ensure that you do neither of those things, as no one wants a bad trip or shroom horror story. Thankfully, when taken properly, shrooms can enhance your life in very positive ways for years to come.
If you don’t believe me, you can ask experienced shroomers or check out some of the recent shroomy science straight from the U of John Hopkins school of Medicine, which gave some human test subjects a taste of psilocybin and found that in most cases a good trip can make a person more open and content in their life for more than a year after consumption. Cool huh?
RESPECT THE SHROOM
Psychedelic mushrooms are also commonly known as “Shrooms”, “Mushies” or “Magic Mushrooms”. They are known as thus because they have hallucinogenic chemicals in them which can create mystical and psychedelic experiences in the consumer, as well as because they have been used since ancient times to withdraw knowledge and information from the universe as if by “magick“.
The most common psychedelic substances in shrooms are Psilocybin (pronounced Sill-o-sye-bin) and Psilocin (Sill-o-sin) which produce hallucinogenic effects when consumed and are the only substances we will be covering in this guide. These psychedelic substances can be extremely powerful, even in small doses and they are not meant to be taken haphazardly. You need to make sure you take the utmost care when involving yourself with shrooms, because any mistake could cost you more than just a bad trip.
Some mistakes that others have made that you want to avoid are:
