SUNDAY

THE POWER OF THE TONGUE:

I realised that we spend a lot of time saying and making negative confessions.

The words that we speak are not just any words, they have power that comes from the Holy spirit that dwells in us. We realise things into the atmosphere by the words we speak. We also with the same mouths that can sing praises to God for hours at a time and speak in tongues, then with the same mouths we gossip, criticize others and bring others down and behave in a way that does not reflect the CHRIST in us.

We have the power to build and destroy by the words we speak. So today I want to encourage myself and others to take note of the things we speak.

Are we speaking life, speaking affirmation, speaking encouragement and confessing positive words. Let us release words filled with love and hope and wholesomeness.

Ask yourself if your words are reflective of the Christ who lives in you. Be a releaser of positive faith filled words today. Let everyone you meet have the impression that have encountered one of the lights of GOD in the earth.

BIBLE READINGS: PROV 18:20;JAMES 3; PROV 17:28;PSALMS 32:9; MATT 12:34

PRAYER

Jesus, I thank you for dying for me on the cross. That through your death I received salvation. As I am made in the image of you, I pray that my character and the words I speak today will reflect this. I declare that everything I speak will be a blessing in Jesus name

Amen

MONDAY

LOVE

Love is the greatest gift we have. Love is what makes or breaks us. As new creatures in Christ, we are filled with the love of God. We are meant to spread the love of God everywhere we go. In our workplaces, we can show the love of GOD, by the way we behave and relate towards others.

Even those people we do not care for or who may have wronged us we are still meant to love them, in the same way that Christ loves us unconditionally. Now I know that is not easy but God gives us the grace to love even those we would rather not.

Whenever Jesus was ministering to people, He was always moved with compassion and love for them. Let love and compassion be one of your hallmarks. Love like its your last day on earth and you will find life very fulfilling. Love is also a manifestation of God’s power here on earth.

Love is not just smiling at everyone and being nice, its also watching out for each other as we are all family. In practical terms if any amongst you is in lack and you are in a position to help, do so out of a genuine love, not through duty.

As you start your working week remember to keep spreading agape love and continue Jesus’ mission of love here on earth.

PRAYER

Father we thank you for loving us unconditionally, even when we sometimes move away from you. We ask you to give us the ability to love the way you love us and to have hearts of love, that are characterized by your compassion.

Amen

TUESDAY

DIFFICULT SITUATIONS

Have you gone through something or experienced a difficulty that grieved you so much, that you would get depressed or distressed over it.

We all go through situations of that where it seems like the mountain in front of us will not move. So often our natural reaction is to go ahead and try and solve whatever the problem is in our own way. So we end up struggling and carrying a large burden that we can’t possibly manage in our own strength.

Hannah went through a situation where her childlessness grieved her so much that she would get very despondent. After years of experiencing that grief, she then decided to pour out her soul to the Lord.

That is the key when we face the giants of life, the first thing we should be doing in the first instance is to go before God and cry out to Him, that by faith we will receive a solution to that problem in the way that God sees fit.

Hannah went on her knees and prayed to her creator to the point that the priest thought she was drunk. She decided to give God her problems and all the emotions associated with it. When she stopped praying, the bible tells us she was no longer sad, after being in the presence of the Lord it is impossible to be weighed down by problems, because that is where we take all our problems and we come renewed and confident knowing that God has taken care of the things we thought were impossible. Hannah’s prayer was answered and her faith in God was not in vain.

Be encouraged that when you go through, whenever you go and seek the face of God you will never be disappointed. In fact you should not wait for trials before seeking God and crying out to Him, you should live a life of always staying connected to God through prayer.

PRAYER

Dear God I thank you that I can always bring all my burdens to you and that I find my rest in you. I thank you for the victories that I have in your presence, but most of all I thank you for being the architect of my life

Amen

WEDNESDAY

GOD’S ASSURANCE OF HIS PROTECTION

The other day I began to reflect on some of the situations, I had found myself in. I had been going through a time of intense spiritual warfare and I started asking God why He had delivered me from all the attacks I had been going through. The answer was very simple God will always make a way out and an exit plan for His BELOVEDS.

I began to realise that I never walk alone, I am surrounded by angels sent by God to watch over me and keep me safe. Jesus is always with me as he has promised us He will never leave nor forsake us, remember Jesus is not a man that He would lie to us.

Trusting in God means you have a safe place with Him where no darkness can touch you. Even when it seems that you are treading on snakes , they will not bite you, they will submit to the power of God that resides in you.

So stay encouraged though the enemy tries to destroy he has no real power and as a child of the MOST HIGH GOD YOU ARE COVERED,PROTECTED AND DELIVERED FROM EVERY ATTACK.

PRAYER

Jesus I thank you that I am covered by your blood. I thank you that every assignment of the devil against me has been defeated and I walk in victory and boldness.

Amen

THURSDAY

SEASONS

In life we go through various seasons at different times in our lives. We can have a season where everything is going great and we have never felt better and where everything we touch turns to gold.

We can also go through seasons where we it may be a dry, unproductive season where nothing seems to work out and everything we try and do is quickly destroyed.

There are also seasons where it’s a time to rest and relax. In that season all we do is just go through a time of refreshing. In Ecclesiastes, we are told about the different seasons we encounter.

Whatever season you are going through know that God has set aside specific times for everything in your life. He has not left anything to chance He has arranged it all and it will all come to pass in His perfect time. So in the season that you are in right now remember to give God all the praise and to thank Him in every circumstance.

PRAYER

Father I thank you for the different seasons in my life. I praise you for all things that you are perfecting concerning me. I thank you that your timing Oh God is the best timing.

Amen

FRIDAY

STILLNESS IN THE NOISE

We can get so busy with life that we forget to listen to the gentle soft voice of the Holy spirit.

So often cares of life mean we are rushing around and busy doing what we think we should be doing and concentrate on other things. The Holy spirit will not come and shout at you and say hey can I help you. The gentle nature of the Holy spirit means a very soft voice will try and get your attention, but because of the noise, you will not hear a thing.

So remember the Holy spirit is your friend, your all in all, your helper and try and be still enough to get direction, love and guidance and so much more. Quiet your soul and let the Holy spirit be an enabler in your life.

PRAYER

Holy spirit I love you and I thank you that you are always there with me. Help me to always be aware of you and to develop my relationship with you.

Amen

SATURDAY

WORSHIP

In our busy lives we can soon feel disconnected from God. Worship keeps us connected to God and when we worship and are in the presence of God we have everything we need in His presence.

Worship is not just about singing a few songs and feeling goose bumps its an attitude and a lifestyle. Where are our whole beings are always stayed or focused on God and we are connected to heaven 247. The presence of God is addictive and peaceful and there are all sorts of treasures to be accessed there only if we stay in His presence and live the worship lifestyle which we were created for.

PRAYER

Father I ask for you to create in me a mind of worship and a heart that lives to worship you. In this season I know you are looking for true worshippers and I am saying yes Lord, I will worship you in spirit and truth forever

Amen
