The Falling of Shadows | by Wren Harris Jan. 20, 2011 | $3.99 | 74876 words | Sample 20% |
| Author bio: I only started writing in 1995 in my late 50s (yeah for us late bloomers!). Debbie’s Story - the story of childhood sexual abuse - was a huge hit when published in 1997, one of those books that appeared just at the right time and in the right place. It was second on the bestseller list for that year. We immigrated to New Zealand in 1997 and in 2000 I co-authored a book called A New Life in New Zealand with my good friend Surita Nortjé. That has since become the preferred textbook for potential immigrants to New Zealand. After that there was a lull when I wrote almost exclusively for magazines and newspapers, in particular Connections and Migrant News. In 2006 I published a gift book called To the Child Unborn, a delightful book filled with wisdom and love which, I think, is the best thing I've done. 2007 and 2008 marked the start of my life as a fiction writer. I wrote The Falling of Shadows, The Indigo Kid and Accidental Hero which you can buy through my website, www.jennyharrison.co.nz These were written under my nom de plume Wren Harris. Oh, I forgot to tell you, my real name is Jenny Harrison |

Vermin | by Allison M. Dickson Jan. 18, 2011 | $0.99 | 5801 words | |
| Author bio: Allison M. Dickson is the author of dark fiction with a speculative bent. Although horror is one of her biggest influences, she prefers writing stories that chill rather than splatter. She hasn't yet gained the ubiquity of her esteemed literary heroes (Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, Cormac McCarthy to name a few), but she is enjoying the climb up the ladder and the chance to explore as many genres as possible, from urban fantasy satire to mainstream women's fiction to steampunk, to young adult fantasy. Allison lives in Dayton, Ohio with her husband, two children, and a gigantic bobtailed house cat. When she isn't writing, she's often doing freelance editing for her company, Allison Edits. Several of the stories below have been previously published in other online venues and have been made available here as reprints for your favorite e-reader device. |

The End Is Here | by Raymond M. Towers Jan. 14, 2011 | $1.99 | 72743 words | Sample 25% |
| Author bio: About the author: Raymond M. Towers is an aspiring author of Mexican-American descent, although the term Chicano describes him much more accurately. He was born in 1970 in San Diego, California, and from an early age showed an interest in becoming a great storyteller. In fact, he was drawing and distributing his own crude comic books, using pencil and blank paper, as far back as the fourth grade. Alas, life happens, and due to both circumstance and procrastination, Raymond set his ambitions on the back burner for many years. While he did enjoy mild success in his submissions to literary markets, he felt he could improve his talents considerably by concentrating on his writing, and for the last decade has made every effort to produce a polished and complete product. Now in his early forties, the author, finally, is ready to share his vision with the world. |

Cuentos | by Edwin Stark Jan. 13, 2011 | $0.99 | 54566 words | Sample 40% |
| Author bio: Born in Caracas, Venezuela, the author finds himself as a misfit there and resorts to writing for escapism from a society that doesn't seem able to digest him. He tried many years publishing in his home country but he found that market impervious to his many attempts of breaking in. So he switched to English as a last resort to outlet his creative efforts. The transition wasn't easy but he managed to achieve his goals by writing several short stories, which allowed him to discover he had the knack, after all. He enjoys sci-fi and owns a quirky sense of humor, so it's natural that his first two books handle these two areas. |
