I have written most of my life. While still a pre-schooler, I once got in trouble for scribbling in the back of a book. I continued writing throughout school, working on high school and college newspapers, and eventually getting a BA in journalism and creative writing. I have worked as a newspaper writer and editor, as well as a variety of other jobs, such as a substitute teacher, college instructor, and even an Avon saleslady. Currently I hold two master degrees and am a Licensed Professional Counseler and Licensed Addictions Counselor, working in a private prison. Robert Rocco Cottone was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1952. He was raised in the post World War II Italian-American culture in the suburbs of St. Louis and had a story-book boyhood right from the pages of Mark Twain. He would ride his bike for hours to watch the barges at the Alton lock and dam, and he was enthralled with the power of the mighty Mississippi. He attended Catholic grade school and later switched to public schools in the St. Louis suburbs. During the Viet Nam War he remained stateside and was a medic in the Air Force. He later attended the University of Missouri-Columbia and earned a degree in psychology. He continued his studies earning a master’s degree in counseling at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He earned a Ph.D. degree at St. Louis University in 1980. He is currently a licensed psychologist and a Professor of Counseling and Family Therapy at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He has authored over 90 professional and scientific articles and several books, including: Theories and Paradigms of Counseling and Psychotherapy (1992, Allyn & Bacon); Counseling Ethics and Decision Making, Third Edition, with Vilia Tarvydas (2007, Merril/Prentice Hall); and Toward a Positive Psychology of Religion: Belief Science in the Postmodern Era (2011, John Hunt Publishing). In 2007 he founded the Church of Belief Science, a church completely established on postmodern philosophy, where relationships are crucial to all understanding and experience. He has published two books at Smashwords.com: High Romance: A Book of Poetry, and The Church of Belief Science: A Complete Guide to Philosophy and Practice.

Hello everyone, my name is Dawn and I have recently returned to writing after a break of many years due to nursing my husband and raising my family. I was widowed almost 18 months ago and now find I have the time to write again. The book "Widowhood 101" was written during the first year and a half of widowhood and is just a few of the things I learned during this time. I hope it helps others along this journey. The poetry in Random Rhyme is a collection of old and new poems and were written for both my own and the enjoyment of others. Kimberly A. Bettes lives in the beautiful Ozark Mountains of southeast Missouri with her husband and son. No, she doesn't run moonshine. And no, she doesn't make moonshine, either. Although from time to time, one would think she had partaken of a hearty batch. And yes, she has all her teeth. While she doesn't wear overalls, she knows many people who do. Before you ask, yes, she wears shoes. And socks. Constantly. It's part of her OCD. Living in the Ozarks doesn't require you to tell people to squeal like a pig. It's completely optional. Kimberly is a freelance writer and photographer. Her trademark seems to be photos of flowers with mysteriously appearing bugs that she doesn't notice while taking the photograph, only later. It's a good thing she mainly photographs flowers. God forbid she should be photographing say, a mountain and not see the grizzly bear charging at her. This would lead to a completely different Bio page. Or as some would call it, a Eulogy. Kimberly has many hobbies including knitting, crocheting, embroidery, and quilting. It's not unusual to find her in a rocking chair, knitting. But don't think she's old yet because while she's knitting, she's singing along with Eminem or Rob Zombie. After receiving many complaints from her neighbors about said singing, Kimberly has decided to try to limit the singing to showers only. So far, she's failed to live up to her end of the compromise. Fortunately for all involved parties, Kimberly's winning personality keeps her neighbors on her good side and there doesn't seem to be an imminent law suit lurking in the near future. At least not for her inability to sing. The hobby of Kimberly's that most worries those who know her is her obsession with serial killers. No, not people who hate Fruit Loops, but the people who make a dirty habit out of killing other people. They fascinate her. Not because she wants to be like them. That would make her weird. But what appeals to her is how at any second, anyone can cross that line. She likes to know what makes people tick. Other than Tourette's Syndrome. Don't worry. She doesn't write to them in prison or anything. After all, the price of stamps has skyrocketed lately. She doesn't have posters of murderers hanging on her walls. Her husband gripes too much about the thumbtack holes they leave. She just reads about them and studies them from afar. Seriously. It's completely normal. Let's call it...research. Yeah. That's it. Research for those crazy novels she writes. Speaking of those novels, Kimberly is the author of Annie's Revenge, The Good Neighbor, Minutes to Death, Rage, and several short stories, poems and songs. She has many projects in the works. If she can keep herself from procrastinating, you can expect to find some more of her work available soon.

Born on a farm in central Maine, seventh of eight children, Raymond L Boyington grew up in New Haven, Connecticut. Following undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Connecticut, and a brief stint at teaching prep school, he returned to UConn to teach and to oversee the General and Honors Chemistry programs. Ray spent most of the final third of his teaching career at San Francisco University High School where he taught courses in Chemistry and Biology. Father of two, Sarah and Katie, and grandfather of three, Danielle, Dedrick and Nate (all very much loved), Ray currently lives in central Florida with his life partner, the writer Jack Andrew Urquhart. Editing, formatting and publishing a portion of Urquhart’s work inspired Ray to undertake the same effort on behalf of his former companion, the late Peter Marshall Bell, thus honoring another consummate man of letters. Ray plans to publish a comprehensive collection of Peter’s extant works by the close of 2012. Other plans in the works for Ray include a new online guide for beginning students of chemistry, a book about sunflowers for budding young scientists, and a collection of portraits from five decades of amateur photography.
